Honoring a long-standing tradition of daughter saying “I designed this thing…” and dad saying “I can make that.”
Offering a selection of handmade sketchboards and palettes since 2017 She teaches scene painting at Montclair State University. When she isn't painting theatrical scenery, she paints watercolors (or as she likes to say, “she paints and she paints”). Katie sells her urban sketching and
studio art on her other Etsy store, RamblingSketcher. She is an active member of the New York City Urban Sketchers and manages their social media. In her nearly non-existent spare time she can be found singing karaoke (poorly), embroidering (adequately), attempting to keep her houseplants alive (middling at best), or baking (well), and coming up with fun new ways for her Dad to spend his semi-retirement (excellent). About Father
Job Position: Cutter of boards, driller of holes, origin of entrepreneurial genes. Father (aka Dick Woodward) is a semi-retired consultant to the biotech, pharma and specialty chemicals industries. In his semi-retirement, he works with start-up companies (he’s co-founded a couple) and advises a venture capital fund. In various parts of his life, he has been an industrial research scientist (he has a Ph.D. in something weird), race car mechanic, marketer, salesman, Jeopardy contestant, Vice President of a couple of biotech companies, CEO/COO of a medical device company that he co-founded and a Board member of a Habitat for Humanity affiliate. He has been married to Karen for half his life (33 years and counting), and they are the proud parents of 2 daughters – Katie (aka Woodward) and Hilary. In his spare time, he plays golf (badly), annoys fish in the Florida Keys (fairly well), builds furniture, masquerades as a carpenter on Habitat for Humanity build sites (adequately), and manufactures products for Woodward and Father (for you to judge).
