Because I had to make these parts in an unorthodox way. They weren’t completely consistent part to part. Pretty close. But not quite. A couple of hours of sanding. A knife and file here or there. And we can make a hot mess into something worthwhile.

Any one whose tried to router against the grain. Knows how shoddy and dangerous the results are. So what do you do? Two routers. One with a bottom bearing. And one with a top bearing. This way you always have tool pathing with the grain. Just flip your piece to match the bearing position. And grain direction.

I need some Queen Ann legs for a French styled armoire that I’m building. Getting them at the height needed was cost prohibitive. And had to come from China. A whole other problem right now. Was able to get some 32” ones made in the US. And boy were they a big steaming pile. But some times you gotta do what you gotta do. So I put them in my board stretcher. And cleaned them up a bit.
