WOW! These last few weeks have been full of IMPACT!

People often ask us if our summers slow down at half full, llc - in fact, we actually get busier! Our social impact model is in FULL force in the summer!

Of the literally thousands of photos that were captured, here is a SUPER sneak peek into all of the amazingness that these last few weeks have brought the half full, llc core team, flex facilitators, clients, community partners and residents, teenagers from all over the state ... and so, so many more:
.. The annual end of summer Block Party brought over 1,000 people! Vendors, fun, food, music, games - SUCH a great night!
.. The August Teen Institute brought over 55 youth, youth staff and adult staff for our five-day overnight retreat! Positive youth development, leadership and awareness of substance misuse - SUCH a meaningful and transformational experience for everyone!
.. Faculty/staff team building with over 70 employees at Notre Dame Cristo Rey High School and Providence College Admissions during their orientation week! SUCH good people doing SUCH good work!!!

This is us! This is our week! And we loved it!

We brought together so many of our facilitators, experience partners and service-driven friends for a week of impact, learning and fun!

From United Way of Rhode Island’s all staff day where we curated a custom team building experience with our core team of facilitators and experience partners TEN31 Productions, Beth Killian, Chachi Carvalho, Melissa Bowler, The Guild Pawtucket and Casa Azul Taquería …

… to facilitating Leadership Rhode Island’s Bread and Salt dinner with a very special group of leaders from throughout the state centered around our Response-Ability as leaders to take advantage of the opportunity to foster an environment of hope.

From Goldman Sachs 10KSB Cohort 27 interviews with the amazing staff and business community at GS10KSB Community College of Rhode Island (CCRI) …

… to yesterday’s Teen Institute training with our adult and youth staff who are ready to support up to 35 teenagers on a four night, five day leadership retreat (we still have a few spots left if you know a teen who would like to join us August 19-23!).

And everything in between!

It was a week of mission moments and validation into the work we do and the people who want to be with us on this great journey! We are extremely grateful for all of you, our clients and all our partners!

When your client throws up peace signs as he catches you in the act of sneaking photos!

What an incredible week with our amazing clients New Majority Capital, Global Gaming Women and Loftware!

What made this week extra special was that all these trainings took us out of the office - a few states away, a few countries away and a few continents away! From the U.S. to Asia to Australia - we dove into core company values, the human lens of leadership and the benefits of mentoring.

Aside from meeting so many great people, we love these opportunities because they always remind us of our commitment to facilitate through the lens of inclusivity. From time zones to dialect, we got you!

Thank you to the team at Bridges to Academic Success for a very fun virtual team building session and to our friends at Seven Hills Foundation for an incredible in person team building session!

It was a VERY fulfilling week of creative design, facilitation and also training for our own team at half full, llc as we finalize details for the August 19-23 Teen Institute. Similar to our Youth Forward®, and one of several initiatives in our social impact model, Teen Institute is a four-night, five-day leadership retreat for teens at no cost. In partnership with RI Dept. of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals and Tides Family Services, we are able to offer this retreat to 35 teenagers in RI! We have a few spots open if you know a RI teen who would benefit from time away to build confidence, lean into their growth and development … and have fun!

Thanks to all the clients who parter with us, we are able to move our social impact model forward!

half full, llc facilitators may have had a liiiiitle too much fun taking photos of our DISC training with our friends at Pfizer this week!

From dominant communication styles to preferred ways of giving and receiving feedback, over 50 members of the Pfizer team leaned into DISC communication training with facilitators visually representing their own dominant styles. By adorning their own personal DISC letters, facilitators were able to support visual and cognitive memory learning while sharing examples of how DISC styles show up in the workplace. It was quick, informative and you got it … fun!

… introducing Katharine Amaral, who joined the half full, llc team this week! Seen here with members of the team, and on her first official training/team building day, Katharine will be managing all our experiences via our social impact model. Stay tuned for our official announcement of Katharine’s incredibleness when we release her “Five Questions With” blog post!

… introducing Neslly Ishami Africa, who has also joined the team for the Summer! Neslly is a rising Junior at Brown University, and she will be supporting The 02908 Merchant's Collective activities this summer. The 02908 MC was co-founded by half full, llc as a way of supporting small businesses in our surrounding zip code.

… introducing the graduates of the Climate Ready Together cohort curated by Providence Resilience Partnership and co facilitated by core team member Wole Akinbi and Flex Facilitator, Kira Wills! What an incredible journey this cohort has gone on to be learn and be a part of a citywide climate vulnerability assessment – congratulations!

… introducing lions and tigers and bears – oh my! One of the most recent additions to our venue experience list, The Roger Williams Park Zoo & Carousel Village was the perfect place to dive into our full team-building training day on communication and conflict-resolution with our great friends at Family Behavior Solutions, Inc! From boa constrictors to brother skunks, we un’alpaca’d varying communication styles, methods, and perspectives and introduced strategies to actively listen, respond vs react … and much, much more. As we continue to demonstrate our “not-your-average-facilitator” model with our clients, we are thrilled to welcome our new wildlife support team to the half full, llc human team!

… introducing our fourth workplace development training for the year to our great friends at AVTECH and the fourth Flex Facilitator they have met from the half full, llc team! Our goal to introduce so much talent and lived experience through our Flex Facilitator model brings us such joy at half full, llc – we are better together!
