Three little words, with a whole lot of impact: helping, healing and hoping.

Helping: we witnessed an incredible number of people helping each other this week. From the encouragement the Bridges to Academic Success team gave one another in our Navigating Uncertainty and Change training in NYC to our Flex Facilitators coming together to support each other’s training, it was riddled with good intentions, support and kindness.

Healing: we also witnessed many instances of healing this week. From moments of clarity in a Mindfulness session with one of our Flex Facilitators around the idea of letting go and letting be to moments of acceptance with leadership teams having breakthrough moments with each other to move forward, it was very inspiring to watch and be part of these moments of transformation.

Hoping: ending the week in celebration of Sojourner House’s 50th anniversary with a powerful story from Cara, a survivor of domestic violence, and the bitter sweet message from President and CEO, Vanessa Volz, who shared that while she was extremely grateful for 50 years of service to those who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual abuse, and human trafficking, she also wishes the organization would go out of business. As numbers increase with the amount of support that is needed from the organization, she asked everyone to stand, look around at who came together to support the mission of the organization and to walk away with hope … hope because there are so many of us who care about what is right and what is just.

From fun exhibit tables to virtual emerging leaders training, inspiring discovery meetings to creative planning meetings, coffee dates to weekend festivals, the half full, llc team was busy over this last week supporting … all the things!

THANK YOU to Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island for inviting us to share our services with BCBSRI employees at the Small Business Supplier Marketplace while in real time we were also training other BCBSRI employees in the emerging leaders program! And how incredible it was to talk with employees who have been through our programs and to hear the impact the trainings have made on their personal and professional development!

THANK YOU to Loftware for yet another very insightful training - we love hearing how your Strengths are showing up in and outside of the workplace and how you are applying your learning towards what’s next! It’s hard to believe we only have two sessions left with this Cohort!

THANK YOU to Barrington Christian Academy and Generation Citizen for asking us to return as judges again for your senior capstone projects and Civics Day! This is always one of our most favorite weeks of the year. Your students continue to inspire us with their passion for helping others!

And THANK YOU to everyone who came out to our Teen Possible Pop Up Festival on Saturday where youth who were at our recent Spring Break Teen Institute shared a sneak peek of some of the workshops from the week long leadership retreat, discussed the impact the week has already made on their lives and represented RI youth through their commitment to live healthy, productive and meaningful lifestyles!!!

This last week was steeped in planning for upcoming trainings, conferences, speaking engagements and Forwards®, a splash of celebration ... and all the feels!

Congratulations to Dawn Apajee and the team at City Personnel, Inc. - Staffing and Recruiting Specialists for 20 years in business - a huge accomplishment!!! City Personnel is a staffing and recruiting agency that connects job seekers with temporary, temp-to-perm, and direct-hire positions, specializing in administrative, customer service, legal, and other professional roles. A GREAT team doing GREAT work!

Congratulations to Ocean Tides School for an incredible fundraiser! Ocean Tides is a non-profit, Lasallian organization that provides residential and educational services for at-risk male youth, ages 13 and up, offering a structured environment with academic, vocational, and therapeutic support to help them develop life skills and a path to productive futures. The program includes a residential campus with counseling, healthcare, and enrichment activities, alongside career/technical education in fields like culinary arts, carpentry, and web design, with partnerships for higher education.

Awesome to spend time with the folks from Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses National office, Richard T. Bliss, Babson College Professor of Finance, and National Academic Director, Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses Program and so many of our 10KSB alumni friends from across the state at the incredible Casa Azul! Being in a room of so many amazing small businesses doing great work and brought together by our local 10KSB RI team always inspires hope for what we can accomplish in small business - social-impact-infused economic development, jobs and growth opportunities!

And planning came in the form of:

- preparing for next week’s Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island's Marketplace where we were invited to share our services with employees at BCBS! (If you have already gone through one of our emerging leaders' programs, you MUST stop by and see us!)

- preparing for the 3rd Annual Innovation & Impact Conference on June 4 where we will be speaking on Courageous Leadership and also sponsoring - join us! https://lnkd.in/exuhgYZc

- preparing for our next Teen Institute week-long leadership program for teens throughout the state. If you are interested in getting involved, let us know! There are opportunities to volunteer, present, sponsor, send a teen - the list goes on!

- preparing for our Aspen Forward® where 12 executives from across the U.S. will come together for a retreat focused on the future of leadership, facilitated by half full, llc, and good friends Aron Ralston and Mark Valenziano. Curious? Let us know!

EPIC CELEBRATION! That’s the theme! There were SO many great mission moments for half full, llc this week!

THANK YOU to Loftware, and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island for your continued trust in our Emerging Leaders sessions and for the very thoughtful conversations throughout the week! Our facilitators are loving working with you!

THANK YOU to the MANY small business ambassadors of Rhode Island for everything you did to curate an incredible Small Business Week! U.S. Small Business Administration, Skills for Rhode Island's Future, RI Small Business HUB – the impact that resulted from your careful planning and care of every last detail was 100% felt this week. The support was REAL! We were proud to be a sponsor and we also loved being a workshop presenter on workplace culture!

Congratulations to all the small business winners this week all over the country – VERY well deserved!

THANK YOU to the Goldman Sachs Rhode Island 10KSB team for asking us to be on a panel to discuss our awesome experience of acquiring another small business in our field (AWE) in 2024. We were happy to share with the group that we were able to achieve our five-year growth plan through that strategy - and we are excited to be building our plan for the next five years! Everyone had great questions and the clinic itself was very informative to those looking for what’s next!

Cheers to a great week, and to all the small businesses out there making a difference!

We spotted this “phoneless” phone booth on Monday which is very relevant to this week’s theme … the gift of listening to understand and embracing the tools that will help us (especially when they may not be obvious).

We wrapped up our Emerging Leaders cohort series this week with 26 new Amica Insurance friends. They listened to understand by trusting the process and the facilitators, doing the work inside and outside of our sessions and leaning into the discomfort. Post assessment feedback showed that they 100% moved the needle on their professional growth. Congratulations!

“I found this program to be inspiring, eye opening and effective.”
“I need to always wear my leadership brand wherever I go.”
“My main takeaway was learning more about myself and learning to be uncomfortable.”

With our AVTECH Software, Inc. friends, we facilitated one of our most requested sessions - the opportunities of a growth mindset in today's ever-changing workplace. They listened to understand by taking a pause to learn, unpacking all the ways that we, as humans, are often challenged to move forward personally and professionally and sharing ideas on how they can continue to support one another. SUCH a great team!

“Jump in even when I am not sure.”
“Be brave, take action in the face of fear.”
“Self-reflection is helpful in all aspects of life including work”

On Thursday, we hosted the Providence College / Feinstein Institute for Public Service celebration where majors and minors gathered to receive their stoles in preparation for their graduation. This last semester, we had the opportunity to facilitate three sessions with Alexa, Meghan, Zak and Chase on life after college and what that looks like through the lens of servant leadership. They listened to understand by showing up for each other at every step of their journey – supporting each other through the discomfort, challenging each other with grace and never once demonstrating judgement. Congratulations to the FIPS Class of 2026 – Chase, you have been an incredible addition to the half full, llc team … see you soon!

And to all our professional colleagues we had conversations with this week, sharing the value of showing up as our best selves as facilitators, trainers, consultants, coaches, etc through the most important skill as a facilitator ... listening to understand … we see you, and we appreciate you. Your shared passion for authentically helping teams and individuals move forward gives us continued hope for a better tomorrow.

A social impact week for the books!

On the "half" side of the business, we had the privilege of working with Loftware, ADAC, Advocacy and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island where we leaned into Aligning Leadership with Strengths, facilitated an incredibly inspiring inaugural Board Forward® (retreat) and took a deep dive into Communicating with Intention and Impact (always relevant topics in the workplace and beyond!)

And on the "full" side of the business, we couldn't be prouder of the 46 high school students who took their Spring Break to be supported by 20 adult and youth staff over a four-night, five day personal and leadership development journey! Thanks to RI Dept. of Behavioral Healthcare, Developmental Disabilities & Hospitals and Tides Family Services for partnering with us to facilitate Teen Institute 2026! There will be so much more to share about this incredible week as several student-led action groups will soon be sharing their ideas on how they plan to maintain and create healthy communities - for now, we are SO grateful to the staff, partners, volunteers, vendors, donors, community partners and our clients for your passion for youth - and for your trust in half full, llc!!

Wow! Just wow!! One week - and a TON of mission moments! It’s a gratitude post for sure!

Thank you to Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island for your ongoing trust in our facilitators as we continue the emerging leaders' journey with so many of your incredible team members! (AND thank you for nominating us for the Rhode Island Commerce Supply RI pitch showcase on Thursday! See below!)

Thank you Northern Rhode Island Chamber for bringing us in to facilitate your Board strategic planning meeting! Under President and CEO Monika Zuluaga, IOM's inspiring leadership, it was a priority for her to hear what Board members think about the future of the Chamber and the value it can continue to offer to organizations. We were inspired to hear all the great ideas that so many corporate leaders have about the future of the Chamber. “E’s” win!

Thank you to Amica Insurance for ALWAYS pumping us up during our emerging leaders' sessions with you! In our fourth session, this cohort of 26 unique individuals showed up ready to discuss how they can self-advocate. They leaned into what our facilitators had to share about how advocating for yourself can support growth in and out of the workplace!

Thank you to Rhode Island Commerce SupplyRI for your support and careful planning of the Supplier Showcase (thank you Kayleigh Hill and MacKenzie Cahill!) where half full, llc Founder Rebecca Twitchell had the opportunity to pitch our unique workplace development model and services to some of the largest companies in the state! A HUGE thank you to Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island for nominating us for the pitch! We appreciate that you see us - and how intentional you are about the partners you hire for your workplace development strategies!

And here’s a big one!! THANK YOU to close to 150 volunteers for participating in our annual community clean up! This event gets bigger every year as more and more people get involved! Huge shout out to Barrington Christian Academy and Times² Academy for sending more students every year, to Providence College/Feinstein Institute for Public Service/Neighborly Engagement Research Lab, RIBBA and several community members for your commitment to service and donating food and drinks, to Providence Neighborhood Planting Program for including newly planted trees to our event this year (so perfect!), to Paster Larry from Providence Baptist Church and Mayor Brett Smiley for a great send off to all of our volunteers and to our generous area businesses and organizations for donating food and space to our crew - Gilligans, Farm Fresh Rhode Island / Harvest Kitchen, Bodega on Smith and Old Irish Social Club! This is the type of team building we love at half full, llc - working together across corporate, small business, education and nonprofit, helping to serve the community and getting our steps in!

Another incredible week at half full, llc - thank you!

WHAT. A. WEEK! One word to describe it? Authentic!

“I learned how to navigate difficult conversations. I am looking to be more of a listener and ensure I make space for mutual understanding.”

“One key takeaway is that we are all human, no matter the job title and I will look forward to identifying my fears and reframing them. Thank you!”

“I am going to listen with intent!”

“Remember to take the pause!”
.. THANK YOU to our clients, Loftware, Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island and Global Gaming Women members for showing up as your best authentic selves for all our sessions this week! Tuning in from all over the globe, we appreciate the time and commitment you are dedicating to moving forward personally and professionally!

… authenticity didn’t stop with our trainings! One of our favorite things to do as a social impact business, half full, llc facilitated a community walk with students from our partners at Providence College/Feinstein Institute for Public Service and Brown University/The Swearer Center at Brown University. These walks around the community where we are headquartered allow for honest conversation about community needs, dispel rumors and myths about the community itself and build relationships between campus and community.

… to top off the week, we were honored to be part of the Women's Fund of Rhode Island's Elevate Your Career event where half full, llc founder/president shared her story of overcoming adversity in the way of moving forward personally and professionally with over 300 participants who leaned into their own authentic selves.

… and that’s not all! We were SO excited to be among our social impact people at Social Enterprise Greenhouse's 2026 Impact Business Showcase where like-minded business owners had a chance to meet one another as well as consumers looking to invest in social impact models – AND others got to pitch their offerings to judges in anticipation of seed money for their innovation! Huge congrats to EvoNatura, the mother-daughter duo doing good - and the $10,000 winners of SEG’s 2026 Impact Business Showcase! Special shout out to our friends and partners at SEG on your 25th Anniversary!!

This last week we fantastically leaned into ..

The incredible people at Perspectives Corporation, Amica Insurance and Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island as we facilitated sessions on the role of the manager, managing courageous conversations, discovering individual communication styles and how we can apply all of this learning and development in the workplace so we can maintain strong working relationships with colleagues and the people we supervise. Close to 100 individuals moved forward this week in just a few sessions!

Meanwhile!! While workplace development was workplace developing, we were also leaning into planning for some VERY inspiring events ahead (you MUST join us!!) …
.. Women's Fund of Rhode Island's Elevate your Career event on Wednesday, April 8, where half full, llc Founder/President, Rebecca Twitchell, will be a coach and a panelist!
.. Social Enterprise Greenhouse’s Impact Business Showcase on Thursday, April 9, that half full, llc is sponsoring and exhibiting!
.. Rhode Island Commerce’s SupplyRI Supplier Showcase on April 16, where we will pitch our unique service offerings with a select group of Rhode Island’s most trusted businesses, with sourcing and procurement professionals from some of the state’s largest corporations!
.. RI SBA / Skills for Rhode Island's Future Small Business Week Summit on May 5, where we will be leading a workshop on the business benefits of having a strong company culture, and ways to build and maintain it!
.. Our Aspen Forward® scheduled for September 29-October 2, 2026, in … you got it! Aspen, CO … designed exclusively for executives who want to test their inner and outer strength as leaders, take a pause to look back to look ahead!

Who's more excited than we are???
