According to sources and reports, PWHL Minnesota captain Kendall Coyne Schofield and head coach Ken Klee were the diving forces behind the removal of general manager Natalie Darwitz only a week after winning the PWHL's Walter Cup.

On a roll this morning-wanted to share this article dated 2010 about Becky Kellar Brown '97 I came across it and it fits the theme of my life's work and I love that about 3/4 of the way down in the article the same words we use today still resonate "Murphy praised Kellar for this ability to effectively integrate her athletic and family lives, and said that her success will encourage other women to follow their aspirations. "The way that she has managed to achieve being a mom and professional athlete helps role model that behavior for future generations of females," she said." we need more of this guys! We think we have arrived but we still have work to do :)

At The Grit Camps 2020 we specialize in training girls AND women for life beyond sports! The Grit Camps exist as place to develop leadership for girls in all sports. We use sports as a leadership platform for life lessons. Our unique camp uses all women instructors to have girls “see who they can be in life” and develop skills, relationships, and memories to last a lifetime! Our camps are run for women and by women and will give girls experiences with other girls and women that will educate, empower, and give them skills to navigate life. Our all-star line up of coaches and leaders in women’s sports and life will have a lasting impact on our campers and allow for them to believe that they can do anything that they set their minds to in life!

The Grit Hockey Camp at Beantown, July 13-19 and 20-26, 2020 is an all inclusive boarding camp and will be held on the campus of the Hillside School in Marlboro in the days leading up to the Beantown Tournament (included in price). We compete as a team in the Beantown tourney! Week 1 July 13-19 is for age groups-birth years 2006, 2007, 2008. We will also be offering a college age Div 3 and Club option. Week 2 July 20-26 is for Prospects and Futures U19 and U16 aged groups.
Our camps are run for women and by women and will give girls experiences with other girls and women that will educate, empower, and give them skills to navigate life. Our all-star line up of NCAA and Olympian coaches and leaders in women’s sports and life will have a lasting impact on our campers and allow for them to believe that they can do anything that they set their minds to in life! Trying to make a difference in the world everyday-feel fortunate to have had such great people and support throughout the years-recently I was asked to do some corporate coaching the manager wanted me to talk about the MINDSET by Carol Dweck PhD and how the way we think impacts performance on teams-it was a fantastic read and I highly recommend it (and I don't get any compensation for sharing) I wish I had it when I was coaching and most importantly PARENTING!!! will have you guys think about how teachers and our youth experiences impacted our mindset!
