Employees across 19 offices worldwide personally contributed to their local communities through this year’s Hunger Relief Employee Giving Program. Through individual donations of food, essential items, funds, and volunteer time, employees supported organizations addressing hunger.

Together, employees contributed:
▪️ 7,700+ pounds of food
▪️ 2,100+ essential items
▪️ $11,500+ in donations
▪️ 100+ volunteer hours

These combined efforts will help provide the equivalent of more than 29,600 meals!

Our SEL K–12 Education Outreach team participated in Moscow Middle School’s Industry Day earlier this week.

SEL volunteers engaged with students by guiding them through troubleshooting a circuit fault, encouraging problem-solving and hands-on learning.

This Moscow School District #281 event is one of many supported by the SEL K–12 Education Outreach team throughout the year. In the 2025–2026 school year, 34 volunteers participated in 13 events, connecting with 1,226 students across the Moscow community. The SEL Scholarship Program continues to support students pursuing degrees in engineering and applied technology.

This year, SEL awarded 15 scholarships—13 valued at $5,000 and two at $2,500—to outstanding students. The 2026–27 recipients represent 13 colleges and universities and were recognized for academic achievement, leadership, and dedication to their fields.

SEL is proud to invest in education and help develop the next generation of talent in the power industry.

The 2026 Lake County Civics Bee brought together 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students for a nonpartisan civics competition focused on civic engagement and community contribution. The event included 20 students from a variety of schools and homeschools across the region, highlighting strong knowledge and potential in the next generation.

Join the Schweitzer Wellbeing Center and SEL for the Pursuit of Happiness Fun Run, a 2.50-mile, family-friendly event celebrating 250 years of American independence.

Saturday, June 27
Reaney Park, Pullman
Check-in: 8:00–9:30 a.m. | Fun Run Start: 9:30 a.m.

Participants of all ages and fitness levels are welcome to run or walk. The route begins and ends at Reaney Park and follows a safe, accessible path.
