Your bathroom. Now that your counters and floors and other surfaces are clear, what would make you smile? A small plant, a cute tray to corral a few pretty items on your vanity. Pretty artwork. Give yourself permission to make this space reflect the fact that you respect yourself and honor your morning rituals. AND every day put things away. It only takes an extra second but can make all the difference when you walk into the space again.

Your bathroom. Check out the rest of your bathroom. Could you really use a robe hook over by the shower? Make a note. Donate the rattier towels to the dog shelter. Fold the rest in a stack. Has the shower curtain seen better days? Shower curtains and liners can often be cleaned in your washing machine with a batch of towels. Hang to dry. If too ratty, make a note to replace them. Would it be amazing to just add a command hook to the side of your vanity and hang your hairdryer right there for easy access? My favorite item in my shower is my refillable dispenser. So handy. So clutter-free. So happy!

Your bathroom. Review what is in the box marked GO AWAY. Do you know anyone that would benefit from this item? Keep it simple. Ask your spouse, ask your offspring, ask a good friend. The rest, if it is in good shape, drop off at the Gemma Moran Food Bank. They have a bin in the back of their warehouse off Bank Street that is always 'open'. PERSONAL HYGIENE SUPPLIES AND HOUSEHOLD CLEANING SUPPLIES ARE ALWAYS WELCOME. Brushes, towels, etc. could be donated to Goodwill. Follow through and let it GO AWAY.

Your bathroom. Time to go back to your groupings of extra stuff. Check your home to see if what you already have that might work. Use what you have first. Then go shop. Inexpensive is lovely. It is the inside of a cabinet or closet. My go to is the ten-pack of clear plastic shoeboxes sold at Walmart. Key is - has a lid, easy to access, same size, stackable. Label each bin for the grouping of items and stack in the bathroom closet, linen closet or some place where you can go get an item, when you need it.

Your bathroom. Time to go back to your Prime Real Estate and see if this area would benefit from organizers or containers. If so, measure the inside depth and height of the drawer or shelf. Check your home to see what you already have that might work. Use what you have first. Then go shop. Inexpensive is lovely. It is the inside of the drawer or cabinet after all. There are bamboo drawer dividers that you can slide to fit. Just make sure that the overall piece is right for the space.

Your bathroom. If you looked at the structure and could benefit from some changes. Make some notes. Draw a sketch. Put a note on your calendar for when you can follow through on these items. Now it is time to deal with all the products and items that you pulled out and do not use every day. One bin marked TRASH. One box marked Go AWAY. Sticky notes on the floor that say ORAL CARE, HAIR CARE, SKIN CARE, COLD and FLU, EAR NOSE and THROAT, etc. Then pick up each item - will I use it in the future (special holiday makeup or extra tubes of toothpaste, etc.) If so, put it by the appropriate sticky note. If not, trash or go away. Dispose of all the trash. Go back to your groupings on the floor. Purge part of any grouping you just have TOO MUCH. Put all the extra into the Go Away box and set it near the door closest to your vehicle.
