The Pinal County Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Energy Transfer and fully supports the company’s continued investment in Arizona’s energy future through the proposed Desert Southwest Pipeline Project.
As one of America’s largest and most respected midstream energy companies, Energy Transfer is helping deliver reliable American-produced natural gas from Texas to Arizona to support the rapidly growing energy demands across Pinal County and the Southwest.
The Chamber is excited about the long-term benefits this infrastructure investment can bring to San Tan Valley, Casa Grande, Queen Creek, Florence, Maricopa, Apache Junction, Coolidge, and surrounding Arizona communities.
Supporting Affordable American Energy
Arizona continues to experience tremendous population growth, business expansion, industrial development, and increased demand from new HOA communities and advanced manufacturing facilities. Reliable energy infrastructure is critical to supporting that growth responsibly.
Projects like Energy Transfer’s Desert Southwest Pipeline help strengthen long-term energy reliability while supporting access to domestically produced American natural gas. The Chamber believes increasing access to reliable American energy can help support affordability, economic growth, and infrastructure stability throughout Arizona.

As energy demand rises, expanding infrastructure capacity helps ensure Arizona families and businesses have access to dependable energy resources that can support future growth and long-term economic development.
About the Desert Southwest Pipeline Project
Energy Transfer’s Desert Southwest Pipeline is an approximately 520-mile natural gas pipeline expansion project designed to transport natural gas from the Permian Basin in West Texas into Arizona and New Mexico. According to Energy Transfer, the project is expected to support growing electricity demand driven by population expansion and economic growth throughout the Southwest.
The company recently announced plans to increase the project’s transportation capacity to meet additional customer demand throughout Arizona and New Mexico. Reports indicate the project could ultimately transport up to 2.3 billion cubic feet of natural gas per day.
Energy Transfer has stated the project will use American-made steel and support thousands of construction-related jobs across the region.
Supporting Growth Across Pinal County Arizona
Pinal County is rapidly becoming one of Arizona’s most important growth corridors for housing, manufacturing, logistics, technology, and industrial development. Reliable infrastructure is essential for supporting this expansion.
The Chamber believes projects that improve energy reliability and support long-term infrastructure planning are important to Arizona’s future. Reliable natural gas delivery can help support homes, businesses, schools, hospitals, manufacturing facilities, and future economic development projects across the region.
Energy Transfer’s continued investment in Arizona demonstrates confidence in the future of Pinal County and the Southwest.
