Just four more days until our featured speakers will present their ideas and ignite their audience at TEDx DeerPark. They will have just 10 minutes to plant the seeds of inspiration of Doing Better from their unique perspectives and areas of specialty.

On Friday, I attended the ATHLOS NYC event for the second year in a row and saw some record-breaking races and long jumps. At TEDx DeerPark, teamwork truly makes the dream work. Our journey with TEDx events has been a mix of fun, challenges, and ultimately, rewarding experiences. What sets us apart is our unique all-female ensemble, which we consider our secret sauce.

TEDx Deer Park Women aligns with the national TED Talk theme, Doing Better, while adding our personal touch. I've had the privilege of coaching nearly all of our speakers, and I'm thrilled about the fantastic lineup of engaging and insightful speakers who have infused their talks with their distinctive styles. I am honored to contribute my part to this inspiring event!

As a nonprofit and volunteer based program, we appreciate all the support we get from our community to make these events work through the years.

Day 22 of my 30 day countdown was significant as we celebrated the final round of capstone presentations of our Mercy University Communication Disorders graduating master's students, followed by a memorable White Coat ceremony this evening where proud family and friends cheered them on. This was a major milestone in the preparation that faculty and clinical educators have instilled in them.

Additionally, it signified the semester's end for our first-year students, who will be away from campus for the next couple of weeks. As they prepared to leave, I bid them farewell, knowing I won't be there to welcome them back. Goodbyes were exchanged, marking the end of this chapter with them.

I am focusing on my highlights in this transition, even as the reasons for my departure draw closer to their realization. It may not have been all rainbows and butterflies, but I embrace the new Dawn who's emerging, and excitedly await what new adventures lie ahead.
