Tonight we held a drill for our members to practice driving and maneuvering our apparatus. This helps us have control of the vehicle while responding to calls and ensure the safety of everyone around us.

We used Engine 318 and Engine 315 to drive through an obstacle course with different maneuvers while avoiding cones. We even had some members drive an Engine for the first.

Everyone did a great job! Thank you to all who showed up and participated tonight!

Around 15:56 this afternoon we were dispatched for a water flow alarm. At about 15:58 we were upgraded to a working Commercial Structure Fire per staff on scene.

Upon Car 215’s arrival it was confirmed we had a working Fire. Engine 315 was first on scene and pulled 300 feet of hose with the assistance of State Police and the Warren County Sheriffs department.

With the aid of the police officers on scene residents were being evacuated to a safe distance.

With Engine 318 assisting Engine 315, a water source was secured and the fire was knocked down. Ventilation was then started to clear the smoke.

Thank you to the following departments for their assistance at this call:
South Queensbury Fire Department
Bay Ridge Volunteer Fire Company
West Glens Falls Volunteer Fire Company
North Queensbury Volunteer Fire Co.
New York State Police
Warren County Sheriff's Office
West Glens Falls Emergency Squad, Inc
The Warren County Office of Fire Investigation

Tonight’s drill focused on Engine Company operations and water supply training. Our members spent the evening sharpening critical firefighting skills by practicing dressing the hydrant, pulling hose, packing hose, and advancing hose lines efficiently and safely.
Crews also worked on pumping operations, including supplying water from our Engine to our Tower apparatus to ensure smooth and reliable water flow during fireground operations.
Training like this helps keep our members prepared, coordinated, and ready to respond when our community needs us most. Great work by everyone who participated tonight!

Today, several of our members had the honor of participating in a golf tournament in support of one of our fellow members and a meaningful cause.
Our department is more than a team—we are a family. We are committed to supporting one another both on and off the fireground, and we are proud to stand together for our members and the causes that are important to them.

Tonight’s drill focused on hose line deployment and teaching some of our newer members the proper way to dress a hydrant. These are two critical skills for any structure fire response. We train hard so that when the call comes in, our members are prepared and proficient in this skills. Great work by everyone who participated tonight.
