Partners Dave Dennis and Jennifer Slapak recently made the trip to Nantucket to meet with business owners, catch up on upcoming plans, and make sure they’re ready for another busy season ahead.

The meetings are important, but so are the relationships. We’re proud to support more than 100 Nantucket businesses year-round, and there’s no substitute for sitting down together in person.

It’s easy to get distracted by the gorgeous scenery, but these visits are an important reminder that accounting is about more than numbers. It’s about understanding our clients, their businesses, and the communities they serve.

Do you have any idea what it’s like listening to people talk about S-corps, quarterly estimates, and depreciation schedules ALL day?
I survived tax season. I did my part. I showed up, I provided emotional support, I sat through ALL of it.
April 15th came and went and nobody told me there were EXTENSIONS.
Reminder to check on your emotional support office dogs.

Walk into our office and you may notice the art on our walls has a bit of a theme. 🎨

Sailboats. Tall ships. A harbor. A watercolor of our hometown. Even a very good dog at the beach. We even just renovated our office decor in a crisp blue and white that feels... well, coastal.

We’re based in Quincy, an oceanside community on the South Shore, and we’ve spent decades working with businesses from here all the way out to Nantucket and beyond.

The water theme just fits.

Because anyone who’s been on the water knows that conditions change fast.
What starts as smooth sailing can shift without much warning.

Every once in a while, we break away from the office for an educational field trip.

This week, Managing Partners Dave Dennis and Jennifer Slapak, along with Workflow Manager Danielle Deeb, attended Jason On Firms LIVE in Boston with accounting thought leader Jason Staats.
The event brought together accounting professionals from across the region to share ideas, discuss industry trends, and explore ways firms can work smarter and deliver even greater value to their clients.
And honestly, taking the boat into the city on a gorgeous June day wasn’t a bad perk either.

We came home with new insights, fresh perspectives, and a few ideas we’re excited to bring back to the businesses and families we serve.
