Probably one of the coolest items that has walked in the door. 1,056.7 oz .999 Silver Ingot recovered from the S.S.Gairsoppa. In December 1940 this ship sailed on a mission to transport 7,000 tons of cargo from India to Liverpool,UK. On Feb 17 1941 battling high winds and swells an enemy U-boat submerged and fired torpedos. One hit the Gairsoppa in the North Atlantic. This is one of 462 .999 silver ingots recovered by the Odyssey Expedition. #1941
