BLD, Bishop Land Design, is founded on the optimistic principle that we can make the world a better place through human ecology, the study of how our species interacts with our environment. Through research we find ways to increase productivity to create a positive gain for the entire system. As our name implies, we are interested in not only the idea, but the ex*****on, of an applied human ecolog

y that utilizes the practice of landscape architecture to design and execute hybridized living systems, infrastructures, and places that have multifunctional uses and agendas over time. BLD is a collaborative studio interested in working with governments, communities, institutions, developers, economists, scientists, engineers, planners, architects, designers, artists and like-minded individuals to design elegant solutions and build a productive future.

Good morning Detroit! Happy to wake up to see all the great improvements downtown in the D. BLD is continuing to make improvements to the neighborhoods as well. Stay tuned later today for the ribbon cutting of the Ossian Sweet Plaza a project that BLD developed the landscape master plan and concept design.
