14-year-old Naika Venant spent nearly three hours on Facebook Live in the bathroom of her foster parentâs home discussing whether to kill herself or not. She was a troubled little girl with mental health issues that stemmed from issues developed living with her mother. She was shuffled from many different foster homes due to her struggles, and deep within herself, she wanted to have a relationship with her mother, the one who didnât seem to want her.
Many watching the livestream pleaded with the Miami teen not to kill herself. But some egged her on, calling the situation "fake." But the most disturbing comment of all was left by her own mother. It said:
â games played u sad little DCF custody jit thatâs why u where u at for this dumb s--t n more u keep crying wolf u dead u will get buried life goes on after a jit that doesnât listen to there parents trying to be grown seeking boys and girls attention instead of her booksâ
Yep. The child you gave birth to is on Facebook threatening to take her own life and THAT is the comment you leave. Itâs not HER fault that she was a âDCF jitâ⌠She didnât choose for YOU to not be able to properly care for her! And therapists had already said that the 14-year-old really wanted to have a relationship with her mother, so if you think about it, whose comment do you think it was that made her go through with the su***de?? SMH.
According to DCF fileâs Nakiaâs mother beat her without pity, left her in bed with boyfriends who watched âs*x movies,â and eventually abandoned her. When Naika had just turned 4, DCF was called to her motherâs home. Naika had been left with a male babysitter, who, in turn, left her unattended with no food or running water. A year later, Naika showed up at the emergency room with an undisclosed chronic health condition. DCF was called when her mother âcalled Naika a liar and a faker, and threatened to send her back to Haiti so that her own life could be better,â the report said.
So Naika, spent time in foster care when she was small but was returned to her mother, but then her mother basically didnât want her anymore when she was about 13. Naika was back in foster care and full of psychological problems. Who wouldnât be, with a mother like that? One who would comment on your âshould I commit su***deâ video calling you a âsad little DCF custody jitâ and saying life goes on after you get buriedâŚJust wow!
Now, years later, a look at her motherâs social media page, she blames the foster care system, she blames the kids who were watching the livestream, she blames everyone in the entire world for the child SHE gave birth to who was in the stateâs custody, whom she even left comments herself taunting. She calls herself snapping on everybody and putting people in check as if anyone but HER is responsible for how she failed her child. In one article she is quoted saying âDCF is supposed to care for kidsâ⌠Um PARENTS are not supposed to care for their own kids??? Youâre not dead, youâre perfectly alive! So why was DCF necessary for YOUR child?? Oh, because she had ADHD?? Many of us have kids with ADHD, we donât abandon them! Child boo. I see her going off on others who talk about her daughterâs case and I want to see her come over here with that mess because Iâm ready!
