The Columbus County, North Carolina Board of Elections disappointed its citizens today. There were at least two petitions filed protesting the November 8th elections. The petitions requested another election due to the irregularities occurring with the closing of several polls and the denial of voter's rights to vote.

Good morning my Facebook Family and friends. As most of you know, we have embarked on another social justice journey. We have established a new 501c3 nonprofit organization focusing on young adults high school and college age students. As a member of the class of 1964 from the James B. Dudley High School in Greensboro, North Carolina we were involved with the non-violent sit-in, march demonstrations of the 1960s. It was the young people of my generation who influenced the passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. So, with the assistance of several classmates the "Students of the Movement Project, Inc." was founded. Last Friday our newly established non-profit's value was confirmed with the by chance meeting with Mayor Alonzo Jones and a youth group from Danville, Va.
