Thank you Kristina Clifton for pouring into your Salon and Spa Management students. This semester they will join us at NACC E-Center once a month to learn more about entrepreneurship and starting a business. We kicked it off yesterday with:

🎤Students were also given information about their final grade - Pitching a business idea (we can’t wait)

Community partnerships make a difference, and Thrive Regional Partnership is a shining example of what's possible when organizations work together to strengthen our region.

Through its Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) ARISE grant, Thrive is helping bring the Tech Goes Home program to Northeast Alabama, providing digital skills training and Chromebooks to residents who need them most. The program is designed to help participants gain the confidence and tools needed to succeed in today's digital world, whether that means applying for jobs, accessing healthcare, supporting a child's education, growing a business, or staying connected with family and community resources.

At the NACC E-Center, we've seen firsthand the impact these classes can have across DeKalb and Jackson Counties. We are grateful for Thrive Regional Partnership's commitment to investing in our communities and ensuring rural residents have opportunities to develop the digital skills necessary to thrive.

Fort Payne leaders were in South Pittsburg today discussing community development, freight mobility, and opportunities to strengthen our region. As a member of the Thrive Regional Partnership Board of Trustees, I appreciated the opportunity to exchange ideas with representatives from communities across Alabama, Tennessee, and Georgia following our board meeting.

Bringing fresh perspectives back home is one of the best ways we can continue moving our communities forward.

Thank you to Fort Payne Mayor Brian Bain, Council members Beau Genelin, Mike Grant, and Todd Simpson, along with TC McLemore of Little River Canyon Center and Kelly Mix-Culberson of DeKalb County Economic Development, for investing their time and leadership in our community.

➡Our lunch panel of business owners shared insight from their business start-up
