Honoring Pastor Gene’s Legacy of Love and Service

During National Minority Health Month, we honor community pillars like Pastor Gene Rentrope, who served and loved others for 88 years. His wife Gloria said he never met a stranger and was always helping someone in need. Gene pastored for years simply because it was his passion. When he passed, Gloria chose tissue donation so part of him could continue helping others. She believes he would see it as a legacy of love. This month we also recognize the importance of health equity and conversations about donation in minority communities.
