With our usual emcee on a much deserved vacay, we recruited resident famous person (IYKYK) Mark Armstrong to lead our panel for the final personal services focus day of 2026. The panel consisted of Nidhi Mathson, Dr. Kristen Lattimore, and Kate Davis. Thank you to Equitable Advisors, Movement-X, and Marshall & Taylor Law for lending us these quality ladies each and every Thursday 💜
Questions included how BNI has helped you professionally and personally; what were your initial fears or misconceptions; how has that changed (hopefully lol) and ended with a lightning round from both Mark and our guests and members. Great day all-around! Our final focus day of the year is Oct 22 for the real estate team. Cmon out!

A couple weeks ago, madam President Trinity French of Relevate Real Estate and incoming secretary treasurer Travis Wilborn of Hess Insurance presented to the group. After an extended trip across the pond, Trinity had lots of personal updates and shout outs to our personal services team members to share as well as market updates of course!
This was Travis’ first presentation under his commercial insurance seat. Travis has been continuously educating himself in the insurance world over the last few years; moving from supplemental benefits to group benefits and has now locked in the commercial insurance. He focuses on small businesses and partners well with our other B2B and financial team. As a huge UNC fan, pretty sure the branding colors of Hess Insurance was his deciding factor for joining their team 🤣😅

What's Mark doing here? Well, if you had shown up, you'd know! Mark and Heather were our two presenters on 9/03. Mark gave us an update on WOW 1 Day's marketing strategy and peacocked his recent travels around the world. Candid photos are the best, aren't they? 😅
With Q4 fast-approaching, Heather got right down to business: don't wait 'til EOY to get your books straightened out. Now's the time (really, yesterday...) to hire a bookkeeper to make sure everything's kosher and from there, Heather partners with several tax preparers and CPAs throughout the Triangle to get you the best monetary attention your small business deserves.

We wrapped up August hearing from two of our most boisterous B2B members - Carley Renzo of Auris and David Mansfield of Mansfield Computing.
Carley showcased her previous life as an educator (totally tracks) and how that has shaped her career as a successful representative at Auris, helping small businesses with their payroll and HR solutions. Her best referral partners? Bookkeepers, CPAs, tax preparers for starters.
David, long-time BNIer (over 10 years) had a bit of an glow-up with his latest presentation. He peacocked his long-time girlfriend, in lieu of previous work experience, focused hard on what to listen for and how to react "hear this, say this". AKA, if you hear someone say "I'm gonna throw my computer at the wall" respond with "Okay, that may make you feel good for about 2sec, but maybe you should call Mansfield Computing Solutions first." David has a new system that enables him to have a team of 250 people to assist with all your IT issues.
