tives to supplement your medical care? I became a Board Certified Patient Advocate, because I have genuine passion for helping clients and their loved ones find solutions when their healthcare needs become complex and overwhelming. As a caregiver, advocate, and care manager to my own family, I am experienced in Decision Support Advocacy. I have been on my own healthcare healing journey that began when I was a 17-year old teenager in High School when the American Heart Association came to my school and gave complimentary health screenings. This was just the beginning of some genetic predispositions that followed me into adulthood. I offer care coordination with goal-oriented medical and transitional care plans, all while providing empathetic, patient-centered support. I specialize in helping individuals with chronic conditions who need compassionate, strong, collaborative communication between healthcare providers, insurance companies, caregivers, and their families. I also provide care management, resource coordination, and alternative housing placement assistance for seniors looking to downsize or even “differently-abled” individuals, I/DD, and special needs. I also hold the NC license for Life and Health Insurance since 2006, and the NC Notary Public commission. As your holistic patient advocate, I will help guide you or your loved one through holistic wellness options beyond treating symptoms or illnesses. This involves supporting clients in adopting a proactive approach to their health, focusing on preventive care, stress management, mindfulness practices, and lifestyle behaviors that contribute to overall well-being. 💫💜🔥🥰 I received the best compliment of my career, and it came from a .

Today I sat in on a visit with one of my long-term clients and her primary concierge physician. This is someone I have walked beside through a hard and frightening season of new diagnoses, the kind that suddenly fills your calendar with specialists and your head with questions you did not know to ask.

For months, I attended those visits with her. I took notes, tracked the moving pieces, and made sure nothing fell through the cracks so she could focus on healing instead of paperwork.

During her annual physical, her physician praised how strong her labs were and how much she has improved over the past year. Then she turned to my client and told her that bringing me onto her care team was one of the best decisions she had made. This was only the second time this physician had met me and seen us work together, yet she spoke in detail about how well I know my client’s history, how carefully I listen, and how I step in only when a key detail is needed.

I told her I love what I do. She smiled and said, “It shows.”

I have been thinking about that ever since. This work remains personal to me. I came to it after walking my own father through serious illness, and I know what it feels like to sit in those rooms hoping someone is holding the whole picture with you.

That is what advocacy is. Not replacing your doctors, but standing beside you so your voice stays at the center of your care.

If you or someone you love is facing something new and overwhelming, you do not have to navigate it alone.

Your Health. Your Advocacy. Your Peace of Mind.

💥💫🎊 I’m proud to share that I’ve officially “recertified” my Board Certified Patient Advocate ( ) credential for a second time. Thank you to the Patient Advocate Certification Board, Inc. ( ) for another three years, valid through June 2029!

Recertification is more than a renewal for me. It’s a recommitment, and it carries a story.

Seven years ago, I sat beside my father as he navigated end stage renal disease and heart failure. I watched him fight, I watched him tire, and I watched a healthcare system that too often left families to figure things out on their own. He passed in late 2019, but the lessons he taught me about advocacy, dignity, and showing up never left.

One of the last things he said to me as he held my hand was, “I couldn’t have navigated my doctors, disease, long term care insurance and everything else, without you.”

Those words have stayed with me through every client, every claim, every difficult conversation since.
That experience changed the entire course of my life.

In 2020, I earned my BCPA credential and built a practice rooted in everything I learned walking that road with him.

🌟To the families trying to make sense of a new diagnosis.
🌟To the adult children managing care for a parent from another state.
🌟To the clients navigating long term care insurance claims, new diagnosis, chronic disease coordination, and the maze of decisions that come with serious illness.
💜To honoring my father by continuing to show up for others the way I wish more had shown up for us.

chose me before I chose it. I’m grateful every day to do this work.

If your family is facing a complex medical or insurance situation and you don’t know where to turn, please reach out.
