I am the founder and managing director of BrightHouse, LLC. I live in Raleigh with my husband, 2 kids, and a dog. I have lived in NC since 1992 and have a great deal of knowledge about the different healthcare systems, facilities, and Continuing Care Retirement Communities in the Greater Raleigh Area. I've been a Licensed Practical Nurse since 2007. My nursing career has included Allergy & Asthma,

ENT/Head & Neck Trauma, practice management for WakeMed Primary Care/ENT/Urology clinics, practice administration over WakeMed Pulmonology/GI/Rheumatology/OBGYN/Maternal Fetal Medicine/Urogynecology clinics, as well as corporate healthcare advising. In May of 2022, my father suffered a significant medical emergency while traveling abroad. After traveling to Greece to help care for him, we were able to fly him home on an air ambulance rescue mission. Once he was back in NC, I made the decision to leave my corporate job in order to focus on caring for my parents and their home. As my father improved, I knew my heart wanted to continue helping others... and so, I created BrightHouse, LLC! I truly have a passion for making a positive, tangible difference in people's lives.

1 year.

It’s been 365 days since I received frantic calls and texts from my mom on vacation in Greece saying dad had a brain bleed and was receiving an emergency craniotomy. 1 year since my sisters and I put our lives on hold and began shifts to travel there to comfort mom and help with dad. 1 year since we crawled through a cave to retrieve holy water from a local river to sprinkle on dads skin. 1 year since we were given a handheld fan from a Serbian women in order to fan dad due to 95 degree heat, no air conditioning, and a fever from the beginning of sepsis. 1 year since we visited a monastery and a nun gave us anointed holy oil on a cotton ball to rub on dads forehead. 1 year since we saw the worst medical equipment, witnessed hospital workers “crushing” dads meds with the end of a Bic writing pen in a stapled paper mailing envelope, passed a blood splattered hospital entrance for 3 days straight, and had to bring our own toilet paper that we took from the hotel. 1 year since we desperately prayed for a miracle at the hospital lobby shrine.

Because of many, many things-love, science, prayer, patience, hope, advocacy, grit, and determination-I’d say we made a pretty amazing comeback. ❤️

My “Why” …

In May of 2022, my father suffered a significant medical emergency while traveling abroad. After traveling to Greece to help care for him, we were able to fly him home on an air ambulance rescue mission.
