Work & Flourish Together

We strongly believe that where you work and who you work with is vitally important to the work you do. So, we created a modern coworking space where freelancers, entrepreneurs, non-profit leaders and professionals become better together. Every member strives to do excellent work, to support one another and to do others good in their own unique way. We think this good work happens best in the context of a diverse, inclusive and supportive community. Business-to-Business & People-to-People

Whether you’re looking to network, make a career change, build a company, or get out of the house a few times a week, there is a place for you in The Loading Dock community. Our members often say that our people-to-people and business-to-business ethos has resulted in increased business opportunities for their company and provided a community of not only professionals, but friends, to grow with.

Ever wonder how a chiropractic practice ends up inside a coworking space? 🤔

Meet Dr. Joe Criscuola, D.C., who traded a traditional medical office lease for something different, a home base inside our Wake Forest campus.

Running a specialized practice usually means locking into high overhead and a rigid, long term commitment. Dr. Joe found another way, flexible, private office space that let him focus on patients instead of a lease.

Today practice offers:

🦴 Expert care for back, neck, and leg pain
🏃 Sports and pediatric chiropractic, tailored to each patient
📅 Same-day appointments, so relief doesn't have to wait
His approach goes beyond quick fixes, helping patients build toward better mobility and long term wellness.

Curious how it all came together? Hear it straight from Dr. Joe in the video below. 🎥

🗓️ A day in the life of a broker at The Loading Dock...

You've got a client meeting at 2pm, but you're still wrapping up a showing at 1:40.

You need somewhere professional for you to pull together contracts before they arrive. Somewhere you don't have to apologize for or explain. Somewhere that's actually yours.

For years, brokers told us the same thing: they need an easy, flexible, home base. Not a long-term lease strapping them down. Not a coffee shop where they're always buying something. Just a real office that fits the way they actually work, out in the field most of the day, but with a solid place to land when they need it.

We've got 3 places to land around the Triangle and our members have access to all of them when, where, and how they need them.

Growing a business often means growing your network, but it's hard to make real connections when your calendar's packed and your circle's the same five people.

That's why our Wake Forest campus partners with the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce to host Chamber Coffee Club, a laid-back morning networking event on the 2nd Friday of every month.

Here's what to expect on August 14, from 8 to 9am:

☕ Complimentary coffee and light breakfast snacks
🤝 A chance to meet professionals from a range of industries
😊 A casual, friendly atmosphere for swapping business cards and making new contacts
🎉 A fun raffle to sweeten the morning

Register, show up, grab a coffee, and start your day meeting the people who could become your next collaborator, client, or referral partner.

Every business owner hits a wall. A website that won't cooperate, a marketing question you can't quite crack, a tech problem eating your afternoon.

That's what The Help Desk is for. Once a month, Marketing Manager Kim Anderson creates a pop-up help desk alongside a co-mentor with deep tech expertise, giving our solopreneurs and small business owner members a real person to sit down with and work through whatever's stuck.

📍 Dock 1053, Monday, August 24, 12 to 1pm
📍 Beryl, Wednesday, August 26, 12 to 1pm, with co-mentor Jacob from Snazzy Solutions
📍 Wake Forest, Tuesday, August 18, 12 to 1pm, with co-mentor Bill from Emulent

Bring your laptop, bring your questions, and leave with an answer instead of another afternoon of guessing.

Mark your calendar or RSVP in The Dock Exchange.

Running a business means wearing every hat, and "financial forecaster" is one of the trickier ones to wear well. Cash flow surprises and budgets that feel more like guesses than plans, sound familiar?

Financial clarity is what makes sustainable growth possible, and it doesn't have to mean hiring a full finance team overnight. In this Wake Forest Founders session, we're exploring how AI tools can support smarter budgeting, forecasting, and financial decision-making, without replacing the judgment only you and your advisors bring to the table.

You'll learn how to:
Use AI to support cash flow forecasting
Analyze pricing and expenses more effectively
Improve budget planning and financial insight

This isn't about handing your finances over to a robot. It's about better visibility, more confident planning, and fewer surprises down the road.

International Coworking Day is August 9th, and this Friday we wanted to get ahead of the calendar to say thank you.

Whether you're a longtime member, someone who's used a day pass or booked a meeting room, or simply someone who has followed and supported The Loading Dock from the outside, this community exists because of you.

Coworking has never just been about desks and WiFi. It's about the connections made in a shared kitchen, the referrals passed between neighbors, and the businesses that grow stronger because they didn't have to grow alone.

To our members, our guests, and our extended community, thank you for choosing to build something local, together!

Running a business is exciting. It's also lonely at the top, and no one really prepares you for how many decisions land solely on your desk.

That's what Owner to Owner is for. Hosted by our President, Jessie Hathcock, this monthly gathering is built for current Loading Dock members who own their businesses to swap challenges, share wins, and get real advice from people sitting in the same seat.

📍 Dock 1053, Wednesday, August 12, 12 to 1:30pm
📍 Beryl, Tuesday, August 18, 12 to 1:30pm
📍 Wake Forest, Thursday, August 27, 11:30am to 1pm

No agenda, no pitch, just owners talking to owners. Bring your questions, bring your struggles, bring your wins, and leave with a room full of people who get it.
