As many of you know, our tenant Moises (who is also my husband's friend and coworker of the past 7 years) has been detained by ICE since Tuesday.
He was picked up randomly from his job site while ICE was looking for other people.
Moises is a DREAMER who was brought here as a toddler and was protected under DACA until recently. He was in the process of getting his citizenship.
We are trying to help Moises as best we can.
His wife is pregnant with their third child, due in three week (December 14th). And they have two children, aged 5 and 2.
Moises is also the person who painted our current rental and did some renovation here for us this past year. If you have visited my new classroom, you have seen his work.
He is still being detained and hasn’t been returned to his family yet.
He is the sole provider for his family, and he created his own business, the same way I built mine.
I am sharing a Go Fund Me link to help his wife with their astronomical legal fees to help bring him back.

This really hit close to home, and Moises truly is a hard worker and a wonderful person.
