When your big brother calls and says one of his employees has a flat you drop what your doing and go to the rescue, Mr terry couldn’t emphasize how much of a ford man he was and was a little confused about where Chevy keeps its tire equipment not to worry Mr terry as you see a ford came to save the the day got the tire changed in seconds flat and he was back on the road to get those golf carts !

⚠️ JUST BECAUSE THEY HAVE A ROLLBACK OR WRECKER DOESN’T MEAN THEY’RE LEGAL. ⚠️

Facebook yard sale pages are full of “I got a guy” and “My buddy has a rollback.” But owning a rollback does not automatically make someone a legitimate towing company.

Before trusting someone with a vehicle worth thousands of dollars, ask questions:

👉 Do they have the proper FOR-HIRE registration/tags to haul vehicles for compensation?
👉 Do they carry proper commercial towing insurance?
👉 Is the business properly registered and operating legally?
👉 Is their equipment properly maintained and insured?
👉 If they damage your vehicle, who is paying for it?

There’s a big difference between owning a rollback and operating a legitimate towing business.

Legitimate towing companies spend hundreds of thousands of dollars every year on commercial insurance, FOR-HIRE registration, equipment, maintenance, licensing and the other expenses required to operate professionally.

That $25 or $50 you saved using somebody from a Facebook yard sale page won’t seem like much when your vehicle is damaged and you discover they weren’t properly insured to begin with.

💡 Know who you’re handing your keys to.

Support the legitimate local businesses that invest in doing things the right way,not just the cheapest person in the Facebook comments with a rollback.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the big Mack family and the Perry family rest easy Tracy

Today, we pause to honor one of our own.

The towing industry is more than a profession—it’s a family. Every day, operators across this country put themselves in harm’s way to help complete strangers get home safely. Sadly, sometimes the cost is far too great.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family, friends, coworkers, and everyone whose life was touched by Tracy Perry.

Rest easy, Tracy. We’ll take it from here.

To every tow operator working roadside tonight, please stay alert, stay visible, and never forget that your life matters. Slow Down. Move Over. It’s not just a law—it’s how we help make sure everyone makes it home.

WHEN CUSTOMERS QUESTIONS YOUR PRICES
FOR A EMERGENCY POLICE 🚔 TOW

All you did was tow it a few miles.
Why does it cost so much?”

It’s a question towing companies hear all the time after police directed emergency towing.

The answer is simple: you’re not paying for the few miles your vehicle traveled.

You’re paying for the emergency response system that made it possible for help to arrive when you needed it.
Not scheduled, not tomorrow, not when we can fit it in, but right now immediate response.

Like EMS and the fire department, towing companies are expected to respond 24 hours a day, 365 days a year—often within 20-35 minutes of being called by law enforcement.

That means maintaining trained operators, dispatch systems, insurance, storage facilities, and hundreds of thousands (sometimes millions) of dollars in specialized equipment ready to roll at a moment’s notice.

Here’s the difference…
Police departments are funded.
Fire departments are funded.
EMS receives public funding, grants, or municipal support.

Emergency towing companies receive none.
In fact, we may be the only emergency service expected to maintain around-the-clock readiness without taxpayer funding.

Even more challenging, approximately 40% of our police-requested services ultimately go unpaid.
Yet when the phone rings at 2:00 AM, during all types of bad weather after a serious crash, or when a roadway needs cleared for public safety, we’re still expected to respond immediately.

And we do.

The invoice isn’t paying for a few miles of towing.
It’s paying for the trucks, equipment, facilities, insurance, training, and people standing by 24/7, ready to respond when nobody else can.

That’s the true cost of emergency towing
