Because the Peace Street bridge in Raleigh sure would like you to find out before you find out the hard way. 🚛💥

Hit 𝐓𝐖𝐈𝐂𝐄 yesterday. 𝐓𝐰𝐢𝐜𝐞. And one of those was while a train was crossing — because apparently regular bridge-strike drama wasn't dramatic enough, we needed a train involved.

Look, we get it — clearance signs are basically wallpaper at this point, nobody reads them. But that bridge has heard every excuse in the book and it does not care. It will win. It always wins.

So before you roll out: know your height. Know it loaded. Know it with the lift gate up. Write it on your visor if you have to. Your truck's roof (and Raleigh's train schedule) will thank you.

In 1916, Chattanooga mechanic Ernest Holmes Sr. helped pull a friend's Model T out of a creek — it took 6 men and 8 hours using nothing but ropes and blocks. Frustrated, Holmes went back to his garage and rigged up a crane system on his own Cadillac. A few years later he patented it, and the towing industry as we know it was born.

𝐃𝐈𝐃 𝐘𝐎𝐔 𝐊𝐍𝐎𝐖?

𝐎𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐨𝐫𝐭𝐡 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐡𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲... 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟔, 𝟏𝟗𝟕𝟕

Bojangles opens its doors for the first time in Charlotte, and nobody at that original 600-square-foot walk-up has any idea how far the loyalty to this place will spread.

Case in point: over in Raleigh, the crew at Dirty Man Towing has been showing up at their local Bojangles for years — longer than some of us have had a drivers license. It's become enough of a routine that the employees know them on sight. Regulars say it's not unusual for someone to step out from behind the counter — just to say hello and ask how the day's been treating them.

Not everybody gets recognized like that at a fast-food counter. But 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 has put in the time, one drive-thru order at a time.

So 𝐇𝐚𝐩𝐩𝐲 𝐁𝐨𝐣𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐥𝐞𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 to the founders in Charlotte back in '77 — and to a tow company in Raleigh that's been quietly proving loyalty runs both ways ever since.

When your car breaks down, we'll be there. And when we're done helping you, don't be surprised if our next stop is a Bo-Berry Biscuit.

250 years of freedom — and we've been pulling people out of tough spots for every single one of them. (Okay, maybe not ALL 250. But you get the idea. 😄)

Enjoy the BBQ, the fireworks, and the long weekend. And if your car decides to celebrate a little too hard — you know who to call. 🇺🇸

Some people golf on weekends. We pull trucks out of ditches. Different strokes.

Some folks unwind with a spa day. We unwind with a winch and a stuck F-250. To each their own.

Your idea of a wild Saturday night might be dinner and a movie. Ours is a 2am call, a muddy backroad, and a trailer that ain't where it's supposed to be. We wouldn't have it any other way.

Some people collect stamps. We collect "I can't believe you got that out of there" stories. Got a whole library of 'em.

Your buddy's out there perfecting his golf swing. We're out here perfecting the art of getting your rig home in one piece.

Some people binge Netflix on a rainy day. Rain just means we're busier.

Fishing, hunting, sitting in a deer stand at dawn — good for some people. We'll take grease, diesel, and the satisfaction of a job done right over just about anything.

That's just how we're wired at 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠. Save our number before you need it.

🚙🏆 Jeep enthusiasts know that one of the biggest events of the year is almost here!

The 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐦 𝐉𝐞𝐞𝐩 𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐠𝐞 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 returns to Butler, Pennsylvania, June 12-14, bringing together thousands of Jeep owners and enthusiasts to celebrate the birthplace of the Jeep.

While 𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐭𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧 𝐓𝐨𝐰𝐢𝐧𝐠 won't be making the trip this year, the festival holds a special place for us. Our owner's Jeep earned a trophy at a previous 𝐁𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐦 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥, making the event one we'll always appreciate and follow.
