Technology Changes. Foundations Don't.
I learned to type on my grandmother's cast iron Underwood typewriter.
It was bolted to a disappearing desk. Lift the wooden panel, and the entire typewriter rotated down into the cabinet.
Our phone was attached to the wall.
Our television had three or four channels if the rabbit ears were cooperating.
Since then, I've watched computers, the internet, smartphones, and now AI reshape how we work.
Every one of those innovations required me to learn something new.
None of them replaced the qualities that mattered most.
- Judgement.
- Curiosity.
- Context.
- Leadership.
- Collaboration.
The tools changed.
I kept learning.
Technology changes.
Strong foundations don't.
