We've got a long-time CCM case manager retiring this week!

We'd like to give a special shout out to Margaret Costello, whose last day with CCM is today. Margaret has worked in Nursing for nearly 50 years, and has been providing case management services for Workers' Compensation claims since 1990. She is a superstar Case Manager and has been part of the CCM family since 2003! We are sad to see her go, but so happy for her to begin her next chapter.

Margaret, thank you so much for all your hard work, loyalty and dedication over the years. We wish you much relaxation and happiness in retirement!

Taylor Aaron, RN, BSN – Medical Case Manager

📚 BACKGROUND & CAREER:
Taylor earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from Orangeburg Calhoun Technical College in Orangeburg, SC, and later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) through Capella University. She began her nursing career in the Emergency Department before transitioning into Home Health and eventually Case Management.

🤝 JOINING CCM:
Taylor appreciates the strong teamwork between the Columbia and Charleston nursing teams - she truly values collaborating with her fellow case managers. Taylor serves the Columbia, SC area so keep her in mind for your future medical case management needs!

🌊 IN HER SPARE TIME:
Outside of work, Taylor enjoys spending time with her husband and their two children. As a family, they love visiting the river and the beach.

CASE MANAGER SPOTLIGHT!

This week’s spotlight features our Medical Case Manager, April Jenkins, RN, BSN.

Background & Career:
April earned her Associate Degree in Nursing from Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College in 2010 and later completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Grand Canyon University in 2019. Her healthcare journey began even earlier—during high school she participated in internships and started working in medical records before graduating. After high school, she became a CNA and worked night shifts in Labor and Delivery while attending nursing school. Following graduation, April spent 10 years at CarePartners Rehabilitation Hospital, a year in Women’s Health, and several years serving as a high school School Nurse before transitioning into the field of Case Management.

Joining CCM:
April says one of her favorite things about working at CCM is that no two days are the same. She shares, “You get to meet people from many different careers and learn what others enjoy doing. I also enjoy learning about the new procedures and treatments that help patients recover from injuries and return to their daily lives.” She also appreciates the supportive environment at CCM, noting that her co-workers are always willing to answer questions and offer guidance. April serves the Asheville, NC area, so keep her in mind for your future medical case management needs in Western North Carolina!

In Her Spare Time:
April often spends her free time at a ball field or wrestling mat cheering on her children, who are active in sports. When they’re not at games or matches, the family enjoys camping at the lake or simply taking drives together to enjoy nature.

April has two children, Austin and Kailey, who keep her very busy! ⚾🚗🌲

"NEW" HIRE SPOTLIGHT!
For this week’s Spotlight, we’re pleased to introduce Medical Case Manager Renee Ehlers, BSN, RN, COHN/CM.

HER BACKGROUND/CAREER: Renee graduated from Montgomery Community College in 1992 with a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) diploma. She earned her Associate Degree in Nursing (RN) from Randolph Community College in 1996 and completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at William Peace University in 2025. She obtained certification from the American Board of Occupational Health Nurses in 2002 and earned her case management certification in 2006.

Her nursing career has mostly revolved around working with injured workers in occupational and employee health settings for a total of 17 years and case management for a total of 13 years. Her passion has always been assisting injured workers/employees in some capacity to meet their health needs.

JOINING CCM: She loves the flexibility as well as feeling valued, appreciated and supported. She says this company and their employees work very well together to accomplish their goals and meet the needs of others.

IN HER SPARE TIME: She loves to travel to the beach and to the western part of the United States. One thing she has learned is that if you don't get on an airplane or cruise ship, it is difficult to see all that the country has to offer.

FUN FACT: She met her husband while working as a nurse at a local poultry plant. They have been together for over 23 years and were married in Canada. This is when she knew she loved traveling; there is so much to see.
