Today would have been Lois LeSavoy's 92nd Birthday.
It is with much sadness that this note is to let you know that our dear friend and Center for Excellence co-founder Lois passed last night at about 10 pm.
Personally. words cannot begin to describe what Lois meant to me, my family, and my life.
After meeting Lois at one of Bill Davis's business mixers, we met a few days later over a cup of coffee. Two weeks later Lois invited me to attend a mastermind group at her house that she was hosting and her friend Leslie Flowers was facilitating and Olalah was participating in. About a month or two went by and another mutual friend Dave Baldwin was creating a mastermind group with Lois,Rose Wilson, Sheila Brown, and Dave and me .
Out of this group the idea for the Center for Excellence was born and Lois and I found space (across the street from Bill Davis) . We spent 3 months renovatiing the space and we opened with the most awesome group of local area authors , writers , and coaches , teachers and instructors (That's YOU!) dedicated to making our local area community a better place for professional , small business owners to grow and flourish . Over the 10 years we were open we logged over 10,000 visitors through our doors (thanks to all of you)!
Lois deserves most of the credit for orchestrating this awesome success.
I am truly honored to call Lois a dear friend and business partner because not only did she do the heavy lifting at the Center but she moved touched and inspire me . She introduced me to the Landmark Forum along with Dave Baldwin and Bill Davis . This transformational experience became a very active part of my life and still to this day impacts all that I do .
I could go on and on about what a dear friend, teacher and influencer Lois was and always will be on each of us that got to hang out with her.
I will just ask one thing / favor of you . THis listing was created from our 2013 member list so I'm sure that some email addresses are out of date so if you don't mind please forward this note to others if you see fit .
No particulars are available yet on plans/memorials so I will be more than happy to share this info with you when available.
Please join me in wishing our friend well and continue to carry her legacy torch that she has lit in us. Penney Depass is in touch with Lois daughter and is our closest local area contact for details .
