This batch of chickens feels extra special because they were raised with my youngest son Archer. He was by my side everyday. 2-3x a day we fed and gave fresh water. Rotated them to a fresh clean spot. The days were hot and the task is messy but he stayed with me. The best part, he enjoyed every minute of it. We never force our kids to help with ranching. They do it because they love caring for animals and enjoy good food 😆

Thank you to those of you who have purchased a whole chicken from us. They were definitely raised with love and care 🫶

More new babies on the ground and our first sets of twins! Two first time heifers had twins. We also had our first calf loss. Born premature. That is a hard part of cattle ranching. Loss is inevitable. So grateful for new life and herd growth!

Sorting cattle develops that athletic footwork 🤣 a lot of “let that one through” and “not that one”. Every ranch kid knows you don’t want to let the wrong cow in or you’ll never hear the end of it 😆
