Montana Livestock Auction is proud to congratulate Brett Petersen and Dawson Hammond, recipients of the 2026 Montana Livestock Auction Scholarship. We wish these outstanding young men the very best as they pursue their future in agriculture.
Brett is from Roberts, Montana, and has been deeply involved in agriculture through ranch work, 4-H, FFA, and livestock judging. After graduation, he plans to attend Sheridan College to study Ranch and Livestock Management and pursue a career in the agriculture industry. We wish Brett all the best as he continues to build a future in ranching and livestock production!
Dawson is from Malta, Montana, where he was raised on his family’s cattle and wheat operation north of Whitewater. A fourth-generation farmer and rancher, he plans to attend the University of Montana in Missoula to study Business Management before returning home to help operate and grow his family’s farm and ranch. We wish Dawson all the best as he works to carry on the traditions of agriculture for future generations.
We would also like to thank all of the outstanding students who applied for the Montana Livestock Auction Scholarship. The future of agriculture is bright, and we wish each of you the very best as you pursue your education and careers.
