It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of David Ariel Halpern, a man of deep wisdom and unwavering faith in Jesus whose kindness knew no bounds.
David was a devoted husband of 23 years to his wife Martha, loving her with resolute commitment, exceeding in generosity, humility and servanthood. He was an admirable father to their daughter Rebecca, constantly reminding her of her worth and cheering her on in her endeavors. A strong spiritual leader, David faithfully pointed his family to the Lord and exemplified God’s love. His steadfast commitment to his family was passionate, always making time for them and offering unconditional support.
His gentle nature and compassion touched the lives of everyone he counseled in Los Angeles and beyond. He dedicated his life to assisting others, whether as a business coach at Mastery Consulting or simply by lending a listening ear to his friends. For over 20 years, he poured his heart and soul into his work leaving behind a legacy of excellence, integrity, and faith.
Greater love has no one than this, than to lay down one’s life for his friends.

David will be dearly missed by his family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. David’s memory will inspire us to strive for greatness through our faith in Jesus Christ in all that we do.
A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held in both Tennessee and California. Details are forthcoming. Friends and family are warmly invited to attend and honor his memory.

Now in the midst of a 100 day recovery period from a bone marrow transplant (due to acute leukemia), I’m constantly reminded of the blessings that can only happen in the midst of suffering.

“Here are 2 more “”Gifts of Leukemia””:”

checkmark LIFE - My relationship with my wife and daughter has been transformed. It is very, very different now. We spend much more conversational time together. I listen much more intently and genuinely. And I pray every morning that I might show them love.

“checkmark BUSINESS - I now fully recognize the power of the 20/80 rule (The “”Pareto Principle””) - that 20% of your efforts will yield 80% of your results. My workaholism is finally dead after 40 years of holding me captive. The total objective in business is LEVERAGE. Do less (with help from great people, good ideas & technology) to achieve more. “

Another thought on this: Less is not laziness. Busyness is a form of laziness, resulting from lazy thinking and indiscriminate action.

As many of you know, I’ve have been dealing with serious health issues (leukemia & recent bone marrow transplant).

However, there are certain blessings that can only happen in the midst of suffering. For fun, I’m calling them “The Gifts of Leukemia”😀

Here’s two:

✅ I’ve reconciled with and am in communication with my sister way more than in the past 15 years.

✅ My daily pace for life and business is way slower and healthier; this forces me to get more help from others and even delegate in business far more easily!

(BTW - thank you so much for the unbelievable love, support, and abundance of prayers. I’m confident in Heb 10:23)
