A recent study conducted by Eureka Ranch focused on work hours lost per day due to ineffective systems. The lost hours vary based on the company’s stage, ranging from growth to decline. VMEC News Release: VMEC Granted Financial Assistance Through Federal Partner

VMEC is pleased to announce it has been awarded $812,300 under the Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) program. This national program is administered and overseen directly by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), a bureau of the U.S. Department of Commerce.

As the hosting agency for VMEC, the Vermont State Colleges System will administer the funds under the renewal agreement. This funding program is designed to help small and medium-sized manufacturers increase the adoption of advanced manufacturing technology including AI, robotics, automation, and additive manufacturing. The grant will go into effect October 1, 2026.

This five-session workshop introduces Training Within Industry (TWI) Job Relations, a proven, practical approach for building positive working relationships and addressing problems when they arise.
