Embracing an atmosphere of continuous improvement means striking the right balance between strategy, people, and processes. VMEC will guide your journey and promote a culture where employees at all levels are empowered. With the right tools in place, your business will become more flexible, efficient, and competitive.

Our goal is to serve as an extension of your team to implement manufacturing best practices to solve operational issues and transform your business. We can show you how to integrate continuous improvement into your manufacturing process, empowering both managers and employees to recommend and implement changes that achieve greater efficiency.

Vermont Business Magazine recently announced our Center Director & CEO, Patrick Boyle, as a VBM 91 Influencer.

"This recognition is for the VMEC team and the impact they deliver for small and medium-sized manufacturers," states Boyle.

This honor highlights dedication, innovation, and impactfulness in each recipient's respective field and within the community, those they inspire and lead each day.

The name 91 Influencers was inspired by the date that Vermont became the 14th state, March 4, 1791. This provided VBM the perfect inspiration to use "91" as a significant number, close to 100 but unique to the Green Mtn. State. They believe this number of honorees is fitting considering we are a state with just over 645,000 residents but with so many influential people in Vermont.

Congratulations to Patrick and all well deserved recipients who can be viewed at VBM 2026 91 Influencers!

Summer is still in full swing, but fall is right around the corner and MFG Day 2026 is Friday, October 2!

Launched annually on the first Friday in October with events that continue throughout the month, MFG Day helps show the reality of modern manufacturing careers by encouraging thousands of companies and educational institutions around the nation to open their doors to students, parents, teachers and community leaders.

It’s not too early to begin your company’s event planning; the beauty of MFG Day is you can plan it any day in October, hold one event or several, open your doors to the public or host a private/ invite only event, etc. There are so many possibilities and the cost can be minimal to you.
