Attention property owners inside the city limits of Ranger, Texas

Do you have a property that is in need of help with overgrowth of brush, trees and grasses? We have the ability to help with our wildfire mitigation program. We have an assessment we can perform on the property and when completed we can develop a plan to help remove those potential fire fuels. Please call city hall and ask to be put on the list, we will need a name, address and phone number. We can perform these services at no cost to you in order to make our town safer.

We had some great training yesterday with the Forest Service and tons of great questions were answered. We look forward to continuing our work in the reduction of fuels that drive wildfires.

Today we had an unfortunate fire that destroyed a piece of history. We are thankful that our Fire Department along with all of our neighboring departments the fire did not spread. We are also thankful that we have been able to work the area behind the building with the mitigation program to keep the spread of fire from happening. We are blessed to be a part of the Eastland County Wildfire Grant program.

We are excited that we received our new tractor and mower this morning. The tractor is the final piece of our wildfire mitigation program.

One step closer to a cleaner town with new Stihl Equipment. The new trucks should be here Friday and the remaining equipment will follow over the next few weeks.
