The South Dakota Society for Respiratory Care (SDSRC) is seeking members interested in serving on the Board of Directors!

Serving on the SDSRC Board is an opportunity to support and advocate for respiratory therapists across South Dakota, contribute to the future of our profession, and help advance the mission of the AARC & SDSRC.

🗳️ Open Positions:
• Treasurer-Elect - 3-year term | January 1, 2027–December 31, 2029
• Secretary - 2-year term | January 1, 2027–December 31, 2028
• Director at Large - 2-year term | January 1, 2027–December 31, 2028

📋 General Board Member Expectations:
• Support and advocate for SDSRC members
• Attend regularly scheduled Board meetings
• Attend the Annual SDSRC Board Retreat, as applicable
• Attend the SDSRC Annual Conference and Annual Business Meeting

All nominees must be licensed respiratory therapists and current AARC members, with both maintained throughout the elected term.

Each year, the South Dakota Society for Respiratory Care (SDSRC) honors a Respiratory Therapist who exemplifies the profession through outstanding patient care, education, leadership, service, and dedication to the respiratory care community.

• Demonstrates exceptional professionalism
• Gives back through volunteerism, committees, or community involvement
• Helps advance and strengthen the respiratory care profession
• Inspires and encourages others to be their best

📋 NOMINATION REQUIREMENTS
Nominees must be a member of AARC/SDSRC. Nominations will be reviewed by the SDSRC Board of Directors.

🏅 THE 2026 THERAPIST OF THE YEAR WILL:
• Be recognized at the SDSRC Annual Business Meeting
• Receive a one-year AARC membership
• Be honored for their outstanding contributions to respiratory care
