The bulk tank averages every cow together.

One cow milks 92 lb on 54 lb of feed. The next one milks 78 lb on 58.

Same ration. Same parlor. One earns about $610 a year over feed. The other costs $746. You'd never know if you didn't measure.

Milk weights alone won't find it. A cow can milk well and still be an expensive way to get that milk. Measuring what goes in and what comes out is the only way to tell them apart.

That's what C-Lock builds — individual animal measurement systems that let you make better breeding, genetics, and culling decisions on your dairy.

Pen averages hide your best and worst performers.

When every animal gets reduced to one average, it becomes difficult to know which cattle are actually driving profitability and which are slowly eating into your margin.

Individual animal data changes that.

By measuring intake and performance at the individual level, producers can identify their most efficient animals, uncover poor performers, and make more informed selection, breeding, and management decisions.

Our newest Education Center module breaks down pen averages vs. individual animal data and why measuring the individual animal gives producers better decision making power.

We’re honored to receive the Agribusiness Award at the Central States Fair Ag Appreciation Night here in Rapid City!

A special thank you to Elevate Rapid City for nominating C-Lock and recognizing the work our team is doing right here in South Dakota.

It was especially meaningful to accept this award alongside local producers and members of our agricultural community, with Governor Larry Rhoden, Senator Mike Rounds, and other state representatives in attendance.

We’re proud to call South Dakota home and grateful for the continued support of our local community. Thank you to Central States Fair and Elevate Rapid City for the recognition!

A respiration chamber result can only be compared to another animal, in that same chamber, under those same measurement conditions.

Change the set up, the number moves. Change the day, the number moves. Change the airflow, the ducting, the analyzer, the lab that calibrated it, the number moves. Each chamber is a reference standard unto itself. Valid inside its own walls, and nowhere else.

GreenFeed is built the other way around. One design, one operating method, every unit verified against certified reference gas — the same traceable standard in every country. Against a mass flow controller releasing known quantities of gas.

So a trial in Nebraska this year sits in the same table as a trial in Ireland three years ago.

Comparable across every site. Comparable across every year. And that comparability creates good science.

Cyclone Cattle Feeder Days are next week and we're excited to see you all!

C-Lock will be at each of the 4 stops with Dan and Blake attending to speak with producers about how C-Lock is helping increase efficiency and profitability with individual animal performance.

Send them a message or find them at the show to discuss how C-Lock can help your operation reach its goals.

Feed is your biggest cost in cattle production, yet you're making some of your biggest profitability decisions at the group level instead of the individual animal level.

C-Lock gives producers the data to identify which animals are converting feed into performance most efficiently, helping you make better selection and breeding decisions and get more return from every dollar invested in feed.

Measure the individual. Profit more from the herd.

Concentration tells you what's in the air. Flux tells you what's leaving the cow.

A sniffer reports ppm: how much methane happened to be in a sample of air at one moment. That number moves with wind, dilution, where the cow's muzzle was, and where the sensor sits.

GreenFeed measures flux: airflow combined with methane concentration above background, resolved to grams per day per animal.

And even a clean ppm reading doesn't tell you what was emitted. Without airflow, there's no volume, and without volume, there's no rate. You end up with a signal, not a quantity.

GreenFeed controls the airflow and measures against background, so the output is an actual emissions rate: grams of CH₄, per cow, per day. Not a proxy for it. The thing itself.

If you're testing an additive, ranking sires, or documenting a reduction, "lower ppm at the sensor" isn't the claim you need to make. "This cow emitted X g/day" is.

Still calling ppm "flux"? Let's talk science.
