Who We Are

Phase Technologies is a power electronics manufacturer located in Rapid City, South Dakota. Founded in 1999, Phase Technologies developed the world’s first digital phase converter, called the Phase Perfect® Digital Phase Converter. Recognized as the world’s leading manufacturer of phase converter technologies, the company expanded the technology into variable frequency drives (VFDs) in the irrigation, water pumping, HVAC and oil & gas industries. Specializing in VFDs with Active Front End technology, Phase Technologies produces the only low harmonic, fully regenerative, phase-converting VFD that complies with IEEE 519, the international standard for allowable harmonic levels on utility mains. The company has an extensive product line-up of low harmonic, fully regenerative drives in both three-phase and phase-converting models. Our Story

Phase Technologies relies on a team of in-house power electronics and mechanical design engineers to develop innovative products, encompassing all aspects of hardware and firmware design. All products are manufactured at our facilities in the USA under exacting quality standards. In-house processes include printed circuit board population, wire assemblies, and our own proprietary magnetics fabrication. The company operates a certified UL 508A panel shop to integrate our drives into rugged outdoor panels with custom options for applications including irrigation, oil and gas production, and general industrial control. The custom integrations are part of the manufacturing process, not an afterthought. Integrity and honesty are the cornerstones of customer interaction at Phase Technologies. Knowledgeable sales experts are available to help customers select the right product to fit their needs, and we partner with the best distributors and dealers to make our products available with industry best lead times and local service. Typical manufacturing lead time is 3-7 business days. Experts in our customer service department are standing by to answer any technical questions and provide the support to keep your application up and running.

Attendees spent their final day continuing expert-level training at the Phase Technologies facilities before heading to nearby Deadwood for an evening of entertainment and a chance to enjoy the Black Hills.

Attendees kicked off their expert-level training with the Phase Technologies team, diving deeper into the technology and getting hands-on experience along the way.

After a full day of learning, we traded the classroom for dinner, drinks, and a little friendly competition. It was a great way to wrap up Day 2 and spend time together outside of training.

Rotary phase converters require oversizing to handle the high inrush current when a motor starts. That means a 7.5 HP machine may require a 15 HP rotary converter, forcing you into a larger, heavier unit with more cost, more floor space, and more capacity than your equipment actually needs.
Phase Perfect® digital phase conversion eliminates that compromise. Its starting capacity allows you to size the converter to the actual load, so a 7.5 HP machine can use a 7.5 HP Phase Perfect® without doubling the converter size just to get the motor started.
