Attention U.S.-Japan Council colleagues we invite you to join us this Wednesday, August 28th (Thursday AM for those of you in Japan) for Dr. Kelly Kawaoka's talk on training the next generation of physicians. She has the unique background of being trained in both the United States and Japan which has given her some interesting insights into both healthcare systems. All US-Japan Council members with an interest in healthcare are welcome to join. The US-Japan Council Healthcare and Advanced Medicine group is co-chaired by Chiyo Kobayashi and I.

Kicking off Saturday cruise of Kearney Cruise Nite week! By chance my lane directed by fellow U.S.-Japan Council member Ryo Suzuki - great to see him and catch up!

Our little cluster is a Rick Dymek in the Ineos Granadier, John B. Chrise in the Porsche 914 and me in the Maserati TC (last two didn't meet the auction reserve last night).

Tonight is the first theatrical screening of the re-release of My Corona! Tidying up the set and getting ready to ZOOM in for the Q&A. Found some props and a copy of the script. I am wearing the hat worn by Christopher Showerman in his scenes.

My Corona will be showing at the Lighthouse Cinema on Friday, July 12th and I will be ZOOMing in from the main set for the Q&A after the screening. It is the first theatrical showing since the name was changed back to My Corona.

It was my passion project during COVID and most of My Corona was shot on location here at the Silicon Prairie Center in Nebraska. Cast and crew stayed on a closed set here during the filming in May 2020 and it was directed entirely remotely. Hollywood Reporter reported it to be “the first feature film in history to be directed entirely remotely.”

I hope to see you in the audience when I ZOOM in and if you do not make it to the Lighthouse Cinema you can stream it on TUBI under the name Unexpected Romance.

It was an honor to work on this film with Phil Gorn (Wonderphil Entertainment), Crystal Carson, and Hammad Zaidi which stars Cooper Tomlinson, Mya Hudson, Christopher Showerman, DC Glenn, Teresa Navarro, James Huang, Karen Freimund Wills, Trey Suhr, Melanie Christine Specht Ian Lauer Mark Popejoy and Elizabeth Contreras.

We are excited to announce that Silicon Prairie Center incubated Progressive NEURO, Inc has been selected for the MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific 2024 Accelerator Cohort Program!

We are very much looking forward to meeting up with the Medtech Innovator and the BioTools Innovator cohort companies in Silicon Valley for the June accelerator program in a couple of weeks. I am sure we are going to learn a lot from each others’ experiences raising capital and building our companies. I know from being present to help organize the US-Japan Healthcare Connection (US-Japan MedTech Frontiers) reverse pitch event for cohort companies the magical energy and magnitude of commoradorie of the accelerator program and for the first time am looking forward to participating as a cohort company!
