Do we still call it the "blue room" or...
Our dancers can spend up to 200 hours every season inside these walls.
200 hours learning.
200 hours growing.
200 hours working toward something they once thought they couldn't do.
But those hours aren't always easy ones.
They walk through these doors excited and full of energy, but they also walk through them exhausted after a long day. They come in frustrated. Sad. Overwhelmed. Sometimes carrying things from outside the studio that I may never even know about.
They've cried in this room. They've laughed until their stomachs hurt in this room. They've been disappointed in themselves here. They've surprised themselves here. They've made friends, built confidence, learned how to fail, learned how to try again, and experienced some of their proudest moments here.
They come when it's beautiful outside and when it's freezing cold. They come when they're excited to dance and on the days when they feel like they have absolutely nothing left to give.
And week after week, month after month, this room is here waiting for them.
So I wanted it to feel special.
I wanted them to walk through the doors and feel like this space was made for them—because it was.
Putting time, work and love into their dance space is another way I can show them how much I care about them. If they're going to spend hundreds of hours of their childhood here, I want those hours to happen somewhere that feels happy, safe, inspiring and a little bit magical.
Because this isn't just a dance studio to me.
It's part of their childhood.
It's the room where they're becoming stronger dancers, stronger people and more confident versions of themselves.
And if they're going to spend 200 hours a year in this room, then I want it to be a room worthy of them.
Because these girls deserve to dance somewhere that makes them feel like the absolute queens they are. 👑❤️
Welcome to their new space. ✨
Here are their reactions 🥰
Special shout out to Mikaela for spending hours and many late nights with me making this space happen, shout out to Amy for being such a huge studio supporter. She supports us through thick and thin! Thank you to my mom and sister who came to help and support as well. I love you all and couldnt do it without you!
