Big news for Georgia forestry ๐ŸŒฒ

Governor Brian Kemp recently signed the Keep Georgia Forested Act along with several additional forestry and land management bills aimed at supporting working forests, rural communities, wildfire prevention efforts, and future industry growth across Georgia.

Highlights include:
โ€ข Incentives to attract forestry manufacturing investment and jobs
โ€ข Added protections and flexibility for forest landowners
โ€ข Support for prescribed burning as a critical wildfire prevention tool
โ€ข Updates to statewide water management planning

Georgiaโ€™s forestry industry supports more than 141,000 jobs and generates an estimated $59 billion annually โ€” and these measures help keep Georgia at the forefront of the forestry industry.
