1. Do your best to hold the bird by the foot or bill if possible
2. Make sure to wrap them properly before freezing

Long overdue was lucky enough a couple seasons ago to to shoot this Mallard x Pintail hybrid with my buddy Alex Campbell, on probably the best hunt I’ve ever had. We took it to a couple different shows to compete in the collective category, since i mounted the bird and he did the habitat work for it and we were lucky enough to win it in a couple states.
