Fire weather will be a concern this weekend across the ArkLaMiss due to breezy, dry and drought conditions. Please obey any active burn bans and do not do any open burning to prevent fires from spreading.
Until then, it will be warm and humid across the ArkLaMiss, with temps in the low to mid 90s for highs through Thursday. Friday morning will bring a dry cold front, with temps in the 80s by afternoon. Cooler and dry air then continues to move in this weekend, with morning lows in the upper 40s and low 50s and afternoon highs in the 70s. Temperatures will reach back into the 80s by the middle of next week. Enjoy!

🚨 Richland Parish remains under a Burn Ban, and we cannot emphasize enough how important it is for everyone to take it seriously and follow the restrictions.

Since our last update on September 29, we have received 32 fire-related calls, placing an increased strain on our local fire departments and their already limited resources.

Our firefighters are working tirelessly to protect lives, homes, and property throughout our community. Preventable fires only add to their workload and divert valuable resources from other emergencies.

Please do your part to keep our community safe. Follow the Burn Ban and help protect our firefighters, our neighbors, and our parish.

Thank you to everyone who helped out today and to everyone who donated for this cause.
