Congratulations Dr. Tony Glenn on your retirement! You are an inspiration and we are so lucky to have shared the last 21 years with you. We will forever treasure our relationship with you and the DFRC. Thank you for including us in your DFRC family 💙💛
THANK YOU, DR. TONY GLENN!
After twenty-one years as DFRC's Executive Director, Dr. Tony Glenn has decided to retire. Dr. Glenn first became involved with DFRC in 1973 when he was chosen to play in the DFRC Blue-Gold All★Star Football Game. The experience touched him so deeply that he committed himself to the mission to enrich the lives of Delawareans with intellectual disABILITIES ever since, for the first 29 years as a volunteer and the most recent 21 years as Executive Director.
Tony’s incredible leadership and commitment to DFRC have cultivated the foundation as a true family, nurtured a better understanding of the ABILITIES of all people, developed a loyal and devoted family/donor base, increased DFRC’s impact universally in word and deed, and kept the legacy of this 67-year Delaware tradition thriving. Since 1956, DFRC has distributed more than $6.3 million to support programs and services in Delaware that enrich the lives of people with intellectual disABILITIES, with nearly $3 million of that total distributed during the last 21 years during Dr. Glenn’s tenure. Tony will very actively remain committed to DFRC as a member of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees. He will continue to raise funds, support strategic planning, and oversee Athletics for the Blue-Gold All★Star Football Game.
DFRC has chosen Jada D. Little to succeed Dr. Glenn as the next Executive Director. Ms. Little has been involved in DFRC since she was a young child when her brother, Jordan, was a buddy in the DFRC Blue-Gold Hand-in-Hand Program. She has lived the mission of DFRC most of her life and was a participant in the Blue-Gold Band in grades 9-12. As a high school senior, Jada was recognized as the Outstanding Band Participant, emphasizing her extraordinary commitment to her buddy. Ms. Little has pivoted from her previous role as Director of Operations and taken her place as Executive Director in January 2022.
