Save the Dove Project

Save the Dove Project Public Art Needs Public Support The sculpture is made with concrete, chicken wire over a fiber glass frame and marble dust.

In 1972 Artist Ramon Lago, was commissioned by Berks County Arts Council to produce three large public art works, one of them was “ THE DOVE ” located at City Park in Reading PA. Over a 40 year period the universal symbol of peace has been demanding restoration. Considering that there are no public funds or a fine arts program that is responsible for this kind of project, the city ne

eds to be proactive in the evolution and preservation of new art forms throughout the area so that the community can be justifiably proud of a creative and vibrant public spaces.
