I’m super thrilled that I have an opportunity to give my son a trade at an early age. He’s 7 and has taken a liking to tinkering with the appliances we repair and bring home. Not once have I forced him to do so. It makes me think about how most people in skilled trades may have been taught early by a father, uncle or someone in the family. So when I advertise that we are providing training classes to the youth to repair appliances, I’m trying to give all the kids this skill at an early age so they have something to build with.
