Time Saving Tuesday Tips:

There's no better time to clean out your closet than when the season changes. Follow the golden rule of closet organization - "If you haven't worn it in a year, you probably won't wear it again (or in this case - next season)".

Since fall/winter is upon us, let's start with with your summer clothes and items. If its too small or to big, BAG IT! If it's not your current style, BAG IT! If you haven't worn that sandal all summer, BAG IT! Bag your unwanted clothes for donation or your torn and ragged clothes for the trash.

Now, for your fall/winter clothes. This is the time for your true purge. Again use the golden rule to slim down what's in your closet. Be brutal. And your reward is my second golden rule - it's better to replace five things you don't wear anymore, or don't really like to wear, with one item you love and that makes you feel confident and happy. I love looking in my closet and seeing new, shiny, clothes that look good on me and fit even better. Oh happy days!!!

Now don't we all feel a little better about our closets? Remember we're not only here to give you Moore Time in your day, but also, more space in your closet!

Time Saving Tuesday Tips:

We all run out to buy a greeting card or two for some reason - "Happy Anniversary", "Happy Birthday", "Congrats on the new Job", "Condolences on your loss...", "Just Because"... And if you're like me, you spend careful time reading several cards before you find the right one to share your thoughts. But it's always a hassle dealing with crowds or choosing between this card or that card.

So, let's make this, or the next time, simple...

If you find more than 1 card that tickles your fancy, buy both of them! Why not?!? This way, you'll already have a card for the next similar occasion (that you know you love) The trick is, filing them in something stylish - something that can be decorative and visible. Many craft stores - such as Michael's or Hobby Lobby - carry decorative card storage boxes. Or, you can make your own if you're crafty. Buy writable divider tabs (or find a creative way) to keep the catogory of cards separate. Before you know, you're on your way to starting your own collection of greeting cards!

Remember, the ultimate goal is giving you Moore Time in your day...

Time Saving Tuesday Tips:

Remember when mom used to force you to make your bed each morning? She was practicing the basic principle of staying organized. Treat your bed as the sanctuary it is by positioning if for use every day.

If you spend three minutes each morning to tuck and fold, you'll develope a habit of keeping order in your room; which may translate into motivation for picking up that pile of clothes on the floor, or to add some other decorative item to the atmosphere.

As usual, the main advantage to be gained from doing this is Moore Time. Try it, and see what a difference it can make!

TIME SAVING TUESDAY TIPS:

Many people save their household cleaning for 1 day, and typically it's on the weekend. It's time consuming, exhausting and nerve wrecking. So let's make it simple -

Choose 1 room(s) or area(s) to clean and a day of the week to do the cleaning. For example, I clean all of my bathrooms on Sunday mornings. You can choose to clean the kitchen,or vacuum all carpeting, or empty all trash cans and replace the liners, or if not the entire bathrooms like me, maybe just the toilets and sinks. The lists of choices are endless! Now, maybe the first "cleaning" will take you some time to do a thorough job. But on the same day the following week, you should only have to do a simpler cleaning or just a touch-up. By this time, you should be able to gauge how long it's going to take you to clean and what day of the week will be the best for you. With that bit of info, you can now set you weekly calendar to clean for that amount of time that room/area.

As stated, I clean my bathrooms on Sunday mornings - which take me about 30 minutes - before my family gets up. On Saturdays, I clean all hardwood floorings. On Tuesdays, I vacuum all carpeting to include rugs. The main advantage that I've gain from doing this is Moore Time. Try it, and see what a difference it can make!
