SERVICE TECH / MECHANIC (Redford)
Our business at TNT Technical Services is growing and we need to add new faces to help keep the metro area cooking great food. We are a commercial cooking equipment repair company and we service only the hot side of restaurants. Some of the equipment we repair includes grills, fryers, broilers, ovens, coffee makers, microwaves and soup wells to name a few. We do not service anything that cools, freezes or requires going on a roof.
We are looking for independent and self-motivated individuals that can accomplish a list of tasks given with minimal supervision, but also capable of knowing when to call for help. Must also be able to adapt to a changing list of tasks and priorities during the day. Must be Android phone fluent, a cell phone will be supplied. All job specific tools will be supplied whereas all hand tools technician must supply. Must be comfortable working with 120-volt and 240-volt appliances.
Responsibilities will include driving a company vehicle to the customers location, troubleshooting of various styles of cooking equipment, repairing equipment and generating an invoice.
Knowledge of commercial cooking equipment is helpful, but not required. We are willing to train the right candidates with a background in the repair and troubleshooting of mechanical devices. Must have good driving record.
Benefits include 401K, Health Care Insurance coverage, sick pay, and vacation pay.
Work hours are Monday through Friday 8:30-5:00 pm with one weekend on call every 4 weeks. Good attendance and punctuality are a must as most jobs are time sensitive.
Starting pay is $14 to $25 per hour, increases at 90 days, 180 days, and one year based on performance.
