We are heartbroken, furious, and running out of ways to say this:
People throughout Yucaipa, Redlands, Calimesa, and our surrounding Inland Empire communities are searching online for Lloyd Copelan Garage Doors, calling fake telephone numbers, and unknowingly inviting imposters into their homes.
Over the weekend, a homeowner called our real office to ask whether “our” technician was giving them a fair price.
The person was standing inside their home attempting to charge approximately $1,800 for garage door springs.
THAT PERSON DID NOT WORK FOR US.
We did not answer the original call.
We did not schedule the appointment.
We did not send the technician.
We would never charge $1,800 for that spring repair.
Thankfully, this homeowner called us before paying.
Two more people contacted us this week after believing they had called Lloyd Copelan Garage Doors. In both cases, someone came to their homes and attempted to charge extremely inflated prices.
Another local garage door company also contacted us after helping a homeowner who believed we had previously been to her home and ripped her off. The company recognized that the person who took advantage of her was not from Lloyd Copelan Garage Doors. They helped the customer and kindly called us to warn us.
This is happening repeatedly, and it is affecting homeowners throughout our service area.
We met with a fraud detective, but Lloyd Copelan Garage Doors cannot make the primary fraud reports because the homeowners who paid or were deceived are the direct victims.
IF YOU THINK THIS HAPPENED TO YOU, PLEASE REPORT IT TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT OR SHERIFF’S STATION SERVING YOUR ADDRESS.
Save the telephone number, invoice, payment information, text messages, security footage, technician description, vehicle information, and license plate number.
Lloyd Copelan Garage Doors has NOT been sold.

Please share this warning with your parents, grandparents, neighbors, churches, senior communities, and local groups throughout the Inland Empire.
