This 10-hour course far exceeds the minimum requirements of the State of SC to obtain a SC Concealed Weapons Permit. Students will receive mandated training in fi****ms safety, operation and, marksmanship fundamentals, as well as a thorough discussion on applicable laws, civil responsibilities, and liability. Students will be required to pass a 50 question, closed book, written exam, as well as a 25 round live fire qualification.

Note: State standard for Qualification is 70%. Our minimum standard, to receive our endorsement, is 80%.

Recent Update: As of September 2020, we will no longer take fingerprints for CWP Applicants. SLED has elected to use IDENTIGO for electronic fingerprinting and document submission. Paper applications and fingerprints are still being accepted, however, electronic applications submitted via IDENTIGO are processed much faster, roughly half the time. Once you complete the CWP Class, you can schedule an appointment with the nearest IDENTIGO Location.

Please Note!
Participants will need to bring their own lunch. Complimentary refreshments and light snacks will be available.

What to Bring:
Participants must bring a reliable handgun, 50 rounds factory new ammunition, belt, and strong side hip holster. NO SERPA, shoulder, ankle, and pocket holsters will not be permitted. Participants will be required to draw from concealment, a light jacket or oversized shirt is necessary. Eye and ear protection is mandatory and will be provided if necessary. A hat, sunscreen, small towel and, bug spray are recommended.
