Currently Seeking Fire Sprinkler Service & Installation Technicians
Precision Fire Protection is seeking a motivated and dependable Fire Sprinkler Service & Installation Technician to join our growing team. This position is responsible for the installation, service, repair, testing, and maintenance of commercial and residential fire sprinkler systems.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Install wet, dry, pre-action, and deluge fire sprinkler systems in accordance with NFPA standards and project drawings.
• Perform inspections, testing, maintenance, and repairs on fire sprinkler systems, fire pumps, and backflow preventers.
• Troubleshoot system deficiencies and identify necessary repairs.
• Replace sprinkler heads, valves, piping, fittings, gauges, and other system components.
• Assist with fire pump testing and annual inspections.
• Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and hydraulic calculations.
• Complete service reports, inspection reports, and work orders accurately using electronic reporting software.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and organized condition.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, inspectors, and coworkers.
• Follow all OSHA safety requirements and company safety policies.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for emergency service as required.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience installing or servicing fire sprinkler systems preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25 standards is preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Ability to lift 75 pounds, climb ladders, work from lifts and scaffolding, and perform physically demanding work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• NICET certification is a plus but not required.
