Parties of 12 or more needing indoor space are required to call ahead and rent the available loft space. Carpenter Creek Cellars is the full realization of two dreams: Ed Courtright wanted to grow grapes in northern Indiana to supply wineries in the area, and Randy Rottler hoped to start a small winery. After meeting and discussing some preliminary business ideas, Randy and Ed took a third partner

and created a dynamic partnership, starting a small winery and vineyard. Carpenter Creek Cellars began construction in late 2011/early 2012, opening to the public March 23, 2013. Ed's first grapes were planted in 2002, with the help of his son Byron (these grapes are now known as "Byron's Vineyard"). The "Big Vineyard" (0.5 acres of Traminette) followed Byron's Vineyard in March 2012. With vineyards taking root (and plans for more acreage as the winery progresses) and a restored 1919 barn with great growth potential, we desire to share our passion for fine wines and good times with northwestern Indiana and our out-of-town visitors. Come and visit us - we offer free daily tastings, weekend tours, music events, and plenty of Midwestern hospitality.

* From ramp, take Highway 231 towards Rensselaer
* Drive 1.8 miles on 231 North; turn left onto County Road 1200
* Drive 1.5 miles on 1200; turn right onto Jordan Road
* Drive 1 mile down Jordan Road; the winery is on the left

From Rensselaer:
* Take Highway 231 South; turn right onto Highway 16
* Take Highway 16 until you cross the Interstate (1.5 miles); turn left onto Jordan Road
* Drive 1.1 miles down Jordan Road; the winery is on the right

From Remington:
* Take Highway 231 North, towards Rensselaer
* Drive 1.8 miles past the I65 exits on 231 North; turn left onto County Road 1200
* Drive 1.5 miles on 1200; turn right onto Jordan Road
* Drive 1 mile down Jordan Road; the winery is on the left

Race Day Is Almost Here! 🍷🏃‍♀️🐾

Tomorrow is Race Day! 🏃‍♂️🍇 We’re busy getting everything ready to welcome all of our runners, walkers, supporters, and wine lovers for the Little Cousin Jasper 5K Run/Walk!

Here’s your race-day rundown:

🏃 Registration: 7:00–7:45 AM CST
🏁 Race Start: 8:00 AM SHARP
💵 Registration: $30
🍷 Race Perk: Your registration includes a voucher for ONE glass of wine, slushie, cider, OR coffee from Cup of Joy!
⏱️ Professionally Timed Race
🎟️ Door Prizes: Including a wine basket from Carpenter Creek Cellars!
🔨 Silent Auction: Come check out the goodies!
🍫 S’mores Truck: Because every good race deserves a sweet finish.

April Rentschler will be leading an all-levels yoga class—no experience needed! April is a professional personal trainer right here in Rensselaer, so you’ll be in great hands. 💪🧘‍♀️

We love welcoming groups to Carpenter Creek Cellars! ❤️ As our larger groups continue to grow, we’re making a small change to help ensure everyone has a comfortable experience.

🍇 Groups of 12 or more who are needing indoor seating are required to call ahead and rent our available loft space.

This helps us make sure your group has a dedicated indoor space while allowing us to continue providing a comfortable experience for all of our guests.

Planning a get-together, birthday, girls’ day, family outing, or just a big group of wine lovers? Give us a call ahead of time and we’ll be happy to help get your group set up!
