Some people have told me they waited months to reach out because they didn't know what would happen, or they were embarrassed about the state of their books.

So here's the honest version: you send a message, I read it myself, and we talk. I ask a lot of questions. Then I look at what you've got (a QuickBooks file, bank statements, a folder of receipts, whatever it is) and tell you in plain language what I'd suggest and what it would cost.

Q3 ends September 30.

If you own a Nevada business, now is a good time to make sure the state side of your business is actually set up correctly.

A few questions worth asking:

• Do you have the correct Nevada DETR / UI account?
• Are you required to file Modified Business Tax (MBT)?
• Should you be filing Sales Tax or Consumer Use Tax?
• If you’re a contractor, are materials being handled correctly?
• Are your quarterly filings and registrations current?

These are easy things to overlook, especially when you assume your payroll or accounting software is handling everything for you.
