A little update on what’s happening on my end..

On June 9th, I’m hosting a talk I wish had existed when I was in the thick of building my business..

Here’s what we’re covering:

The myth that more hours means more revenue.
The myth that scaling requires a bigger team.
The myth that a strong offer sells itself.

And more importantly, what tends to be true instead, and what’s worth looking at in your own business right now.

This is likely for you if:
→ You’ve built something with real traction and the growth is starting to feel harder to carry
→ The effort and the results aren’t quite matching up
→ You’re ready for the business to work with more ease

Grounded in what I see working with founders at Business Flow Group. Come join me at Reno Sparks Chamber of Commerce on June 9th at 11:30 AM.

If any part of this felt like it was written about you, join us! This workshop was meant for you!

Most founders build their marketing function by outsourcing it. Their operations function? They build it by hand, one hire at a time, hoping it holds.

It typically doesn’t, not at the pace they're growing.

In this episode, Rebekah Wall breaks down what outsourced ops means, how BFG works with clients, and why it's becoming the infrastructure decision growing service businesses are quietly making.

Watch the episode and walk away knowing exactly what outsourced ops is, and whether it's the decision your business is ready for.

One of my clients was manually sending a welcome message to each person who reached out.

Instagram. Text. WhatsApp. Website inquiry.
Each one, typed out by hand.

We set up a simple automated response that goes out the moment someone makes contact. Lets them know a real person will be in touch. Gets the ball rolling without her having to drop everything.

Now she can pick up the phone and call them.
The automation just handles the in-between so she doesn’t have to.

When the key stages of the pipeline have a trigger built in, conversations move forward.

She’s still the one with the relationship.
She’s still the one closing.
She’s just not the one manually managing the handoffs in between.

That’s what a back end built for how she works looks like.

What part of your intake process are you still running manually?

I know right now it feels like you built yourself another job instead of the freedom you were after.

That’s normal.
But it doesn’t have to stay that way.

The next chapter isn’t more effort.
It’s systems.
And systems are what give you your freedom back.

At an event a few weeks ago, someone brought up scheduling tools.

Calendar links, automated booking, the stuff that saves a surprising amount of back-and-forth.

The room was split.

Some people use them without thinking twice.
Others had genuine resistance to it, for reasons that made sense when you heard them out.

What stuck with me was the middle ground someone offered.

Have your assistant reach out with one option. Then, if that doesn’t work, point people to the calendar to find something that does.

An automated system with a human in the loop.

That’s what good delegation tends to look like in practice. Not a full handoff with no structure underneath it. A structure that holds, with space for human judgment inside it.

Where do you land: fully automated, fully manual, or somewhere in between?

Everyone says “hire help” like that’s the whole answer.

But bringing someone on without anything for them to follow is a bit like handing someone the drive to the grocery store without a steering wheel.

They’ll move. Just not where you need them to go.

A system doesn’t have to be complicated. It’s a sequence, a way of doing the work that can be handed off and repeated without you in the middle of it.

That’s usually the difference between a hire that helps and one that quietly adds to your workload.

Where are you in this right now, still figuring out what to hand off, or already building the system for it?

The fastest way to get better at explaining what you do?

Go be in rooms where you have to say it out loud.
Over and over. Until the blank stares stop.

When I started showing up in entrepreneurial groups and masterminds, I didn’t go to network.

I went to practice.

To get real-time feedback on whether what I was saying landed or went completely over people’s heads.

And here’s what I found: other business owners genuinely want to help each other get there. At least in my experience in Reno. People show up willing to give you honest feedback, their time, and their perspective.

That kind of environment accelerates you. Not because someone handed you a script, but because you were willing to be in the room, say the thing, and refine it.

If you’ve been hiding behind your work, hoping people will eventually understand what you do, they won’t. Get in the room.
